Matthew Hatton vs Alvarez will emabarrass us Brits

Not sure if anyone on here has seen Matthew Hatton fight , apart from the Brits. Personally like all the Hatton family he is a really nice guy , a good attitude and the Hattons are loved in the UK.

The problem is that Matthew is not Ricky and not by a long long way. Dont take the Boxrec rating , he is not the best in the UK and possibly just makes the top five.

The Alvarez fight is going to be like Pavlik vs Lockett, such a one sided ass kicking , but Lockett at least had a punchers chance, Hatton isnt a puncher.

When the fight is over in less than six one sided rounds remember this is not the best of British , and look out for Kell Brook , he is our future at the weight.

in terms of uk WW picture, hatton, atm, is behind brook, jennings and an in shape watson.

so i have him top 4. that being said i see him having a decent chance vs watson or jennings.

regarding alvarev, i think hatton will embarass us, but not due to lack of effort. i see alvarev really doing a number on him and catching him cold.

a knockout in the first 2 rounds.

i dont think matthew will ever get into the fight, but that being said he has taken it, the guy has balls and desrves our backing.

granted he will never have the speed, power, chin, stamin, popularity, intelligence........... basically he will never beat ricky in any aspect, but the guy does deserve our support. kinda like derek vs wlad!

 

People from switzerland Netherlands Germany France etc know who their champion is.

Mathew is the champion of all of Europe, this is the Europ talent going to take on the Mexican to prove who is the superior /

 

It won't be any more embarrassing than RH vs. FMJ. :deal

 

He looked good in his last fight, don't think this will be a total walkover for Alvarez

Either way he deserves respect for taking this fight on, not shitty thread titles like this one

 

Your missing my point , I am certainly not putting Matthew down , that is the last thing on my mind, its just the gulf in class is so much that it doesnt show our best Welter, who is clearly Brook. I wish the best for Matthew , but he still has a lot of questions at domestic level , let alone world level.

I've watch a little of him on youtube. Sigh. Poor guy.

 

I know this, as do most boxing fans. But Matty will be hyped/promoted by the powers the be for the fight as the next RH to sell the fight, but he's gonna get murdered. Don't sweat it tho, Brook, Jennings and Watson are all way ahead of Matty, he's just another W for Alveraz to put on his record before he steps it up. I look forward to Brook steping up as well...

 

Don`t be a apologizing for him before he has even touched gloves its embarrassing. He has improved a lot over the years and has mixed it when he has too. He deserves a shot just like everyone else.

Alvarez beat a shot and retired Baldomir who was resurrected to pad his record. I hope Hatton proves everyone wrong. All to gain and nothing to lose for Hatton. All to lose for Alvarez.

 

I like both Hattons as people, went to most of Ricky's fights, but the Hatton brothers always reminded me of Michael Schumacher and his younger brother Ralf.

 

Matthew too wide open. Will be a problem against Saul. But, he will go out with a fight.

 

Whar are you talking about? Who talks about Hatton? Nobody. Hatton isn't anywhere near our best, so what's there to be embarassed about?
