I am not even british, but the guy is taking on a big challenge. Much like Chisora, you support your fighters regardless when they step up.

    Good Post

I wont be embarrassed at all when Hatton loses, he will try his upmost whether its a 1 round blowout or a wide decision, Alvarez is seen as a special talent, no shame in losing.

It's routine more than embarassment, it's a fight for Alvarez to look good against a bit of a name. No more embarassing than Cotto-Jennings, Pavlik-Lockett, Chisora-Wlad, Mitchell-Katsidis. Audley Harrison in general.

Why would your whole country be embarrassed??? Why would you be??? He is the only one that will lose???..............I wasn't thinking man Johnson is embarrassing me vs. VK, I was thinking man this guy is a ***** and embarrassing HIMSELF. Also with Pavlik toasting Lockett, I wasn't thinking YEAH AMERICA!!!.....I was thinking poor Lockett should have just found a soft spot on the canvas much earlier. Maybe because the UK is so small you guy's think you are represented by a UK fighter??? I dunno.....I was laughing when our local guy "Bad" Chad Broussard got smoked by Sharmba Mitchell and Terry Norris each time he stepped up in 2 rounds. I trained in the same gym as Jason Papillion and didn't care when he got stopped in 7 by Winky........Dude, he got KOed by the light hitting Winky.....I hated Jason, he was a *****. He was a RJJ regular sparring partner for 1000 a week and thought because RJJ whipped his ass everday he was king **** weighing 150 lbs........he was from my own gym and I cared less. Why do you guys????

How the **** is he going to embarrass 'us'? The lads taking a chance, if he gets blown out then he gets blown out.

Should be giving him credit. He could have kept defending his Euro title and aimed for a WBA title shot against Senchenko but he's taking a big risk - going to America and taking on a rising star.

It won't embarrass Brits at all, just Hatton suporters who think he has a chance of winning.

Even if Hatton gets knocked out in the early rounds, I'll still be shouting for him. I do like Alvarez though so will be glad if he gets the win also, which he will, no doubt about it.

yesterday I saw a British tourist talking **** to a local girl, when she ignored him he chased her called her a **** and spit in her face. You dont need matthew hatton to embarras y'all.
He is a decent guy that will give it his all, support him, he might do better then most expect.

Did you just mention the word 'intelligence' and Ricky Hatton in the same sentence?

You are missing my point entirely , and if you really read what I wrote then you would understand.

I am saying Matthew Hatton shouldnt even get the chance to fight Alvarez and that he is a long way from being our best at Welterweight. If he was our best then I would say fair play. But he is at least number 4 and a long way Kell brook.

When Lockett was given the opportunity at least he was the best we had to offer, and had beaten our best middleweights at the time. Hatton hasnt and would still struggle with domestic fights.
