    Having recently watched the fight again it's hard not appreciate what an excellent win this was for Pacquiao, his dominance of an elite fighter was incredible this one win pushed him up the ATG rankings and up high, forget the garbage fights against Clottey and Margacheto or the Hattons or DLH that came before, this one win IMO is not appreciated enough and I hope he gets another quality name on his resume (Floyd or Martinez are the only ones worth it) before he calls it quits as it would be quite sad to see him beat Mosley then fight overmatched Bradley/Alexander/Berto/Marquez.

    Its a hugely underappreciated win I totally agree with you. Cotto fought well for the first few rounds and for Pacquiao to take over the fight the way he did was nothing short of amazing, in terms of head to head opposition he's faced (not pound for pound before people start mentioning Barrera Marquez and Morales), I think Miguel Cotto is the best win of Manny Pacquiao's career.

    When they are both retired this will be one of his best wins, I dont believe cotto is done like a lot of people say, still think he can do some great things.
    Arum should not make pac vs cotto 2 it will take the shine of this one.

    ESB was split 50/50 on this fight, and there were very few people discrediting the validity of this matchup. But as soon the fight was done, we had our fair share of "Cotto was drained"...."Pacquiao handpicked Cotto"...and a few other excuses.

    It was a great fight, that saw a great winner.

    It is indeed an underrated win.

    1st 2 rounds, one gets the feeling that Pac had finally bitten more than he could chew.

    Then from 3rd round, we witnessed what separates great fighters from the good ones. Pac adjusted and found a way to dominate Cotto in a way that not many expected.

    He turned no tide. That's just where he started to dominate and Cotto never recovered after the second knockdown. This thread paints a picture that says Pacquiao was getting beaten. You could maybe give Cotto the first round and the seventh or something (not sure which other round it was) but other than that, Pacquiao was always in control. It took him four rounds to make Cotto back the **** off. That's a great feat.

    totally agree, those first 4 rounds were outstanding from both of them, the best 4 rounds i've seen in a long time.

    That 1st 4 rds make us really nervous! BUt when Pac makes those gesture to Cotto to "Cmon Fight more" Banging his gloves and egging Cotto to attack in the 4th, I said Cotto's toast! I knew it was over for Cotto.
