Leonard is getting sold short here. he looked awesome at 154 in his prime, and he would have made a very good fighter at MW imo. he gets beaten but he lasts the distance.
i don't know about the 154 comment...he only had one fight at 154 in his prime, with kevin howard. dominating a journeyman but still getting knocked down doesn't make me think he'd last with hagler
atschi'm at idiot. haven't seen it but didn't realize it was 154. i stand corrected (though hagler still kills him)
No. SRL of 1982 would not beat Hagler at 155+ pounds... Hagler would fall behind early cuz of Leonard's speed, but Hagler would track him down in 1982 and TKO Leonard in 10 rds... MR.BILL:hat
Not the Ray Leonard that could not get the fragile Larry Bonds out of there early. Then again, Marvin Hagler was getting muscled around by Eugene 'Cyclone' Hart, even when Hart was exhausted.
Yes you bunch of absolute total ****s. Fundamentally a better fighter and the chin to grind through Hagler's size advantage
The size difference is minimal anyway, I seriously doubt it would play any significant role in the match. I'd go with the better fighter.
Only in Las Vegas,,,, Willie 'The Worm' Monroe in his prime would have beaten Ray Leonard easier. Maybe if we threw Ray Leonard in there with about 5 tough Middleweights in a row, then let him fight Marvin Hagler.
