Sounds like Chop showed a lot of heart. Respect!

Lucas gets the stoppage, and hopefully puts him in line for some bigger fights down the road. There are so many great matchups at 140 its insane, but there is one fight especially that intrigues....

    Maidana vs Matthysse.

    Hope it gets made.

Looks like I called the Chop fight on the money Tko8 :yep (was it officially a ko or tko?)

Sucks that Chop lost, but he lost like a ****in warrior. Respect.

Saw that in the list... good call! :good

Don't know what the official verdict is, the announcher called it a "KO technicale", and the display screen called it a KO.
Should be a TKO according to the rules.

Damn, after seeing corley vs maidana and matthyse vs judah; I figured matthyse to be a worse version of maidana and picked corley to edge a points decision :-(

Surely marco vs matthyse has to be made now!

That is shocking. It's got to be a modern day record hasn't it?

And why the **** wasn't that fight stopped sooner? When Corley had been down for the 5th, 6th time in the fight, did the referee not think 'now is a good time to stop the fight'?

Patterson vs johanneson had shitloads of knockdowns, I think that was about 8, not sure.

Yeah I bet even corley himself wouldn't have complained after the 5th knockdown. That's the problem with these warriors, they take a proper beating. Like feliciano a couple of years back when atlas stepped in it was that bad.

The reason why the referee didn't stop it was because of the way Corley got up from them. 6 were by left hand bodyshots to the ribcage and Corley didn't look dizzy or disorientated from the headshots either. And after the knockdowns he fought back like nothing happened until the next big shot floored him.

And I can't remember any fight in recent history with more KD's than this one. Incredible.
