It's intriguing yeah. I said the wrong thing earlier because I meant it isn't that intriguing. It's a decent fight but it won't mean as much to Haye, just like Wlad fighting Adamek ultimately won't mean as much as fighting Haye. I think it's still a possibility and we should hope for both fights, but whether it happens or not, I don't know. I think Haye wanted to fight Wlad in April/June and then fight Vitali later in the year. Now that he has to fight Chagaev, we may only see one fight against a Klitschko which would be a shame, but, as long as it's Wlad, it won't make that much difference.
The reason people bought into Haye is simple. When he was a cruiserweight, he was on the track to being a fighter that people could respect. At that time, I considered myself a fan. I don't think the question is why people bought into Haye in the first place. It is why it has taken so many people so long to work out just what a tool Haye has become. I worked it out in 2008. Any later than 2008 and you have no real excuse.
respect like haye did when he bitched out of a fight with wlad a week away with over 60,000 tickets sold...thats no ****ing respect man, stfu with all that fanboy
Jacks man love for Haye and excuse for everything A-Z is off the charts. There are guys in prison for murder and have been career criminals from day one and their moms think they have been innocent from day one and take up for them...much like Jack does...some of them realize they are just a bad egg and call it as they see it...Jack hasnt hit that bottom yet...we will wait for year 3 of "im gonna fight the klits in 2009" "im gonna fight the klits in 2010" "im gonna fight the klits in 2011" brilliant business move as building this fight for 3 years....might be a guy that turned pro in 2009 might get a crack at wlad before Haye does... but haye will next say... and remember this come december "my fans wont let me retire...im staying 1 more year and both klitschkos are on my hit list for 2012" "we are lining something up in july or august" :tired:tired:tired
klitschko ducked chisora 2 days before the fight!. how anyone can get injured within that close time is pretty rare.especially after already doing a public work out that very day. and for his two managers to come out and give not only 2 different injuries, but 2 different come back dates,it makes it look very questionable. and then theres the possibility he was playing golf on holiday not long after!. Anyone who blames haye for wlad needing a tune up needs to realise that wlad dropped out of his december fight, had he fought in december,he would have not needed any tune up fight to shake off rust. Of course haye is such an easy fight that wlad needs to tune up vs some unknown novice that does nothing to sell haye v klitschko, despite wlads crazy claims that this does sell klitschko v haye somehow!.
There's been 177 posts in this thread and not one person who has come out with a pro-Klitschko post, has tried to say I am wrong. Again, deflect the issue if you want, talk about what a coward Haye is, how terrible of a fighter he is and how undeserving he is, but the fact is, he's only one thing. That is a product of the environment that the dull reign of both Klitschko's have created. The more people talk **** about Haye, the more fuel it adds to the fire. Fans are desperate for an anti-Klitschko, a fighter who is fun and comes to knock his opponents out cold. Who has charisma and an appealing attitude. I once made a long post talking about how good for boxing the Klitschko's, or possibly just Wlad, was. I take that back now. The division has been going downhill for years now and the Klitschko's are only going to make it worse. Like I said earlier: "No matter what anyone thinks about Haye and the Klitschko's, nobody - nobody - can deny that under the rule of eastern Europeans, especially the Klitschko's, the heavyweight division has suffered." And that won't change.
So, you are finally admitting that you are not a Klit fan. Well, what a huge surprise that is to everyone. atsch
Most of us can agree neither of the Klitschko brothers have been in a really exciting or close fight lately. It wasn't always like this, but these days they are dominant and risk averse. I think boxing fans embraced Haye because he was the young guy with the physical attributes to upset the cart, plus the charisma of a champion. But Haye's heavyweight run has been a disappointment for a variety of reasons. Inactivity, dull (mis)matches, and the elaborate expectations fostered by Haye himself by promising to fight a Klitschko. Haye didn't have to talk about fighting a Klit to get his name out there--his energy would have been better spent KOing chumps and getting exposure in the USA. If Haye wants the respect of fans he should focus on making a winnable fight against a worthy challenger, something along the lines of Adamek, Povetkin, Chagaev, etc. But now maybe Haye ducks Chagaev, though not many give Chagaev much of a chance.
