I didn't say that, at all. Look through my post history and find me posting my top 5 or 10 boxers and I guarantee you'll see Wlad there since I joined the forum. Look through my post history again and you'll see me being pro-Wlad for a long, long period. The difference is, I realize the harm that is happening here. Some is their fault, some isn't. The fact remains that there is harm being done though. I'm an honest person. I'm not going to lie about liking a fighter to win some pointless argument.
I agree with you entirely. It also makes me laugh that posters come out and say how great it is when guys like serial B side Mayorga comes out with his usual, pre fight bull**** (which is far worse than anything Haye has ever said), that talking nonsensical bull**** somehow makes Mayweather a "business genius", and so on with other fighters (Toney, etc). But when Haye does it, it's somehow different. Pro Wlad fans can complain all they want, but Lennox Lewis was derided for being too safety first, for fighting like a "lion tamer", (using his jab like the old whip and chair) etc, but Lewis looks like some sort of crazed, right hand happy chin first brawler compared to the Wlad fights I've seen lately. It's unique having 2 brothers holding belts at the same time, but one thing that really pisses me off about it, is that when a fighter loses a fight against one brother, why does that immediately mean that they are now not worthy of fighting the other? It's a source of real frustration for me. The brothers can manipulate things to suit them, giving them a massive, massive advantage over the other fighters. No other fighters in history as far as I know have mandated rematches with firstly the fighter from the first fight, and then the other champion AS WELL. How many fighters in the 90's would have agreed to a title shot against Lewis, then a rematch with Lewis if they won the first, and THEN a fight against Holyfield if they won that as well. All the while with the promotion etc of the fights being run by "The Headbutting Lion Promotions", with that promotional company making the majority of the money? As for the farcical suggestion that Haye should sign to fight Wlad, but be prepared to fight Vitaly if Wlad can't make it, I think that's one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard. Adamek may sign up for it, but I'd say that's for a very simple reason. Leverage & money. Adamek doesn't care which one he fights, because he's got no leverage at all, nothing to offer in return. Yes, Adamek is a ballsy fighter, that's not meant to be a put down of him. But Wlad seems to have 1 flaw, and that' being cracked on the chin by big punchers. Adamek hasn't got that, so I'm not sure how he plans on winning against either one. Haye does have leverage. He has the WBA belt. And is a money maker in his own right. He doesn't need Vitaly or Wlad to make a mountain of money. Adamek does. Haye also has a right hand good enough that if he hits Wlad on the button, I think it's all over. He also has a chin that means Wlad could put him into about the 5th row. To me, that makes for a potentially exciting fight. The Klitschko's have been good for boxing in the fact they always show up in shape, and always seem professional in their planning and preparation. To be honest, they make the rest of the division look like part-time fighters, so out of shape and obviously unprepared they are. I had high hopes when Haye started at heavy that he would come in and try and take it by storm. Obviously that hasn't happened. And that's Hayes fault, the Harrison fight has caused all sorts of trouble with the Wlad fight and mandatory situation. But nothing will change my mind that Wlad taking the Chisora fight was crazy. I think very little blame can be put on Haye for that one falling through (apart from the Harrison, mando issue)
Haye hasn't backed up his talk. As far as the Klitschkos go, he has done no more than other haters on here have done- talked a lot of **** without doing anything about it. If he had moved up and quietly went about his business like Adamek is doing we would still support him. The way he has operated since moving up has been nothing short of disgraceful. He is just a Klitschko hater like HENDO or anut
Why fans bought into David Haye What ****ing 'fans'? Haye is a complete nobody outside of the British Isles. A tough thing to comprehend for those who think that the world ends in Watford. P.S. Jack, congrats on making another lower low.
Great post. Whereas . .. . Why don't you try contributing something worthwhile for once? Can you point me to the bit if the post where Jack says he has fans all over the world, because somehow you've decided that's what he was implying.
It's great watching Polish fans rip into British fans of Haye, after 90% of them backed Golota to the hilt, no matter what he did.
I just like the way they dismiss him having a fanbase because it's in his own country! Unreal. Since when does having fans in your homeland not count? Where does Mayweather sell his PPV's? At home. In a country of 300+ million people Mayweather sells 1.4 mill ppvs. Haye sells 1 million in a country of just 60 million people, but apparently this doesn't count as having fans buying into him because they're fans from the place where he lives, fights and markets his fights. So ******ed. If Haye is an insignificant no-name bum - why is Wlad 100% dependent on him to get on American TV? That's a bit strange
Look - another typical Klitschko fan. Well done, you managed to come in the thread and say something that isn't even remotely funny without adding anything to the discussion
Wlad's last fight was on ESPN2 and its likely he will be against Chisora. And HBO and Showtime have both said they're interested in a Klitschko-Adamek contest. And Haye's ppvs cost half as much as Floyd's do and Sky/News International has far more scope to cross-promote the fight to general sports fans than HBO.
