He should be a six-time champ. He should have gotten and L to Lewis the first fight. The rematch decision was the iffy one from his perspective. I've heard him accept those decisions though, so if he doesn't dwell on them, we shouldn't either as his fans.
If he keeps on going like this he will get receive irreparable physical damage in a fight, make no mistake about it. He will become blind or worse. All those "fans" buying his PPVs or buying a ticket are guilty of giving Holyfield a glimmer of hope that makes him continue. If there were no PPV buys and no idiotic fans buying tickets he would be forced to quit, for his own good. Holyfield needs to be saved from himself.
X 2 I knew I'd find somebody who said was I thinking. And if you DON'T think he bitched out, you clearly didn't order the fight. Scored 1st even, close 2nd for Holyfield, and the landslide 3rd for Williams. Despite my even card at the time, I would have put money that Holyfield didn't make it to the 9th. And no I'm not saying that because of the "cut". Pavlik fought Martinez despite having three "Evander Holyfield cuts" where the blood actually WAS flowing into his eyes.

That was the worst stoppage on cuts I've ever, ever seen. People wonder why boxing has a bad name. A 48 yr old still fighting many years past his best for a pipedream, pulls out of a PPV event due to a cut the size of a bees dick.
Evander can win another title if he is matched well and gets a little lucky. But I do not think he has been in real championship caliber sharpness since before the Toney fight years ago.

If he is fighting because he needs the money, that's shithouse. Get him a job mumbling into the mic on espn or something. If he's fighting because he thinks he's going to be undisputed champion again, somebody needs to have a word with him.
