Sorry about what I wrote earlier about Irish people it came off as arrogant and if I offended anyone I apologise.

yes but my point was overall he isnt even a top 6-7 guy , kotelnik a good fight the winner or olusegun - chebah isnt , but i supose he could drag them over to ireland and make a bit of money picking up the biggest paper title for a while

mcklosky needs khan to be a real world champion if picking up the vacant wbc after the real light welter champ vacates it but stays in the division by beaiting another medicre fighter then fine . hes got a crack at a proper champoin here in a big fight , if he fancies the job then the world title and the biggest payday should surfice

i doubt he really fncies the job to be honest

No he doesnt need Khan. Khan can **** off and fight John Murray - typical Khan move to fight a fighter from a lower weight.

If he gets the WBC by any means necessary then maybe he can fight McCloskey without Dudey having to bend over for him.

McCloskeys deserves the biggest pay day of his life for the fight, because its the biggest fight of his life and the biggest risk of his career. He has a lot to lose and that should be reflected in the purse.

Would Khan be happy to accept an offer of £100k more than his biggest ever pay day for a fight with Mayweather?

    A tad hypocritical.

Fight Murray, McCloskey can paddle his own canoe.

    Paper title!

Like when Khan jumped from the Lightweight division because there was no champions he would face and then at Light Welter he faced the weakest world champion at any weight - his words not mine!

Well according to an article over at the scene Tim has reached an agreement with the WBC so it doesn't look like it would be vacated.

And what will happen later this year when HBO want the winner of Alexander-Bradley and Khan-??? to unify the division before the end of the year?

This will be for The Ring - do you think they will want to pay three sets of sanctioning fees as well?

No idea but you never know Hopkins did for 4 titles.
Also I would be surprised if the unification fight happens at the end of this year.

Who cares. McCloskey is going to HAVE to come down in his demands or he can f off somewhere else.

This isn't Khan's Mandatory. If he doesn't like it, then go defend your Euro belt.

Well I think he should rather than be raped by Khan.

What do you think would be a fair purse to offer McCloskey for a fight of this nature?

Well HBO said they want it sooner rather than later.

Given how mean they are proving in their negotiations with all the fighter recently then I very much doubt the Khans want to give away three sets of sanctioning fees when the Ring title will be available

I thought McCloskey would have jumped at the chance to fight for a world title but maybe Khan just needs to move on. I dont think £100,000 is that unreasonable, I got the impression he had been offered half that to have turned the fight down. I think if Prescott was offered £100,000 he would sign within seconds. Id much sooner he faught McCloskey but if it is to be Prescott then so be it. He can be afforded a 'lesser' opponent after the last few so Im not too fussed who he takes on.
