Humberto Soto is a 3-Time/Divisional World Champion with over 60 pro fights, and has been avoided by Pacman, Marquez, Valero, Morales, Barrera, Linares, Guerrero, and so many others because of his fierce punching style.

Heck, when Arum announced that he wants to match up Soto vs Valero, Valero packed up his belongings and left town (Costa Mesa, CA) to his native Venezuela, just to avoid fighting Soto.

Im not a Soto fan.
Im just a regular boxing fan.

I met Soto before, at a Marquez-Vazquez weigh in Carson, CA and talked to him a bit, but I never asked for an autograph or picture with him, cause Im not a Soto fan.

I just made this thread, to make people aware that Valero did avoid Soto many times, cause I read many articles in the Mexican newspapers like La Opinion, that are not on the net as sources i could post.

Thats why many people dont know that Valero did duck Soto, cause much of the US boxing media dont cover these stories, to not tarnish Valero's reputation, cause Arum and Oscar influence the US boxing media on to what to publish, and what not to publish.

Arum promoted Valero, and Oscar's former childhood trainer and friend-Robert Alcazar trained Valero, which is why the media overhyped Valero, but covered-up the fact that he ducked Soto.

 

Guzman ran scared and cheated throughout the match.
