I don't blame Danny for trying to conjour up a bit of sympathy from the public.

Remember Anthony used it to his advantage over the years. The public was always kept well informed about Mandy's life threatening ailments.
These included dickey knees, blindness in one eye, hip displacia and a serious shrinking heart condition.

They say what's good for the goose is good for the gander.

his eye issue was a ripper, lol.

if the public r stupid enough to fall for things like that and pay good money to watch average fights then good luck to the ones making the cash.

    Green back in light training:

Green back in training after abscess operation

    by Daniel Lane - smh - Jan 30 2011

WORLD cruiserweight boxing champion Danny Green has returned to his garage gym in Perth for a series of punching sessions just weeks after he needed an emergency operation to remove a large abscess around his appendix.

Green had been troubled by the ailment, which, despite frequently crippling him, went undiagnosed for eight years. A Perth doctor even suggested an unlucky stomach punch could have had fatal consequences.

The pus-filled abscess, which was described as being as big as a softball, and his appendix were removed after a frantic drive back to Perth after Green alleged a staff member who examined him at Busselton Hospital, south of Perth, turned him away, saying his condition was not serious.

But Green, 37, and Australia's only reigning world boxing champion, trained a few times in his garage during the week following the operation, and described the sessions as ''painful but ''rewarding''.

''I've hit the the pads with [trainer] Angelo Hyder a few times this week, but I can't do combinations yet,'' he told The Sun-Herald. ''It still hurts when I twist my trunk.

''I don't throw big, long right hand punches - I am only using my arms - and I'm happy to be doing that. It feels good, I'm still cracking the pads with 16 ounce gloves.''

''It feels really nice to be punching again. Angelo is pulling me up so I don't overdo it, but I have only trained for about 30 minutes at a time, and I've finished the training feeling shattered.''

Green, a three-time world champion, will see how he recovers from the operation before committing himself to a return to the ring. His priority is to regain the weight lost during recuperation
