Depends how 2011 plays out, IMO.
Should Manny get knocked out/Lose Vs. Mosley the fight becomes a bit more realistic.

+ Marquez has to keep winning Vs. these Young lions.
A 140lbs championship is JMM best bet to help secure a III'rd.

 

Marquez ain't prime and the weight will always be an issue. Anyhow I'd like to see it but Marquez takes a beating with the current Pac

 

I'd mortgage my house to bet you said that same exact thing before the Pac-JMM rematch.

 

I don't blame them.... I blame the promoters they don't wanna put Pacquiao trough this again.

As a fan you feel this way, but Arum doesn't just think for 5 minutes about his next money making scheme... If Arum and roach both felt they could KO Marquez easily and make a lot of money doing so on cinco de mayo weekend for a trilogy the fight would have been made in an instant.

The thing is Marquez still poses a threat, so the easier road was taken... Mosely. No promotion to deal with, 40 year old look bad in his last fights, has a known name since he has been in the game for ages, it just makes more sense money wise.... also he is putting an HOF fighter in his resume no matter how OLD lol...

When they matched JMM with Pac part 2 Arum was not expecting an old JMM to make PAC struggle as the first, you can bet damn well ARUM learned his lesson and will not match with JMM until the day he gets demolished.

When JMM starts losing and is no longer putting away younger bigger guys, ARUM will attack.

 

I'd like to see Pac - Mayweather first

If Marquez wins in a 3rd fight(which is highly unlikely) then score would be 1-1-1, does that mean they need to have a 4th clash? isn't that ugly?

And no, I'm not saying Pac/Mosley is a good fight.

 

the real reason I don't want Pac to fight Marquez is that he has absolutely nothing to gain from beating him.

 

the thirth fight would make pac seem like he was green/drained at first 2, but at his ideal weight he knocks marquez out.
If it doesnt happen marquez will be remembered as a stylistic nightmare for pac.
This fight shouldnt happen because it will also take away the magic away from the first 2.
