I remember it quite well because if Witter had won, the timing was right to put a lot of pressure on Hatton to fight him. He was definitely a favourite, the view was Bradley hadn't beaten anyone of note, was a light hitter and ITV also alluded to the fact he was dirty with the head.

My feeling was that Witter was ****, completely blew it. Bradley had loads of success with the overhand right (I think it was that punch that put him down) but Witter was painfully inactive. The scorer that gave it to Witter was on crack.

Witter was shocking that night, but to be honest he has looked dreadful since then too, so its a good bet that bradley got a slightly shot witter

Nope, just to win, Witter was a best price 1/7 if memory serves me correctly(which it usually does.)

witter was in the shape of his life, he was talking like some sort of gangster on sensanta channel about how he'd fight hatton free of charge, he was an idiot and bradley showed him up,

Think I had a wee bet on Bradley that night too. Never a Witter fan and I remember an interview with Bradley and the way he spoke I knew he was confident. Wasn't exactly shock of the century IMO and respect to Bradley as not many US fighters are willing to travel across the pond to take a title.

A scales you use yourself of course can be off, but when its provided for you , the Bradley camp using basic smarts went and bought a 5lb plate to test it, clever chaps

Junior Witters dad was ill, or died leading upto the Timothy Bradley fight..? I beleave there was something mentioned along these lines, which affected his training camp.

anyone remember when witter was getting quiet alot of **** from hatton fans for fighting bradley while hatton was getting ready to fight lazcano!

i personally thought witter was some demarcus corley type fighter.

  12. Maybe, but it doesn't make him wrong.

I was at this fight and had only read a few bits on maxboxing about Bradley. Steve Kim was banging the drum fgor him and (as he would say) Gary Shaw was very confident.

I thought Witter would win widely on points. He had looked very good against a then not-completely-shot-to-bits Viv Harris.

From near ringside I thought Bradley won clearly. It was definitely a SD on the official cards.

  14. I thought that it would be a slam dunk for Witter. I was delighted to be wrong.
