On the positive side, this is a better and more deserving opponent than Rahman.

But honestly Haye ought to be stripped if he won't fight his mandatory or someone else high up.

We just need a Fantana article now to hype the rematch of the century!

this fight is only acceptable if it's a forced mandatory due to other fighters not stepping up.

jeez is haye trying to break a new record for average age of opponents in a heavyweight title reign?

I am sure Haye's fans will approve of this fight, afterall, there fake fraud hero will be pretty safe. Povetkin, Botsov had hand surgery, Klitschkos, Adamek, Arreola, Chambers, etc., but no, Haye is a coward.

I think it will be hard for Haye supporters to stand by their guy in this one. I bet they'll justify it one way or another though.

    :-(
Seriously, I thought this was just some stupid "what if" poll when I first saw it.
But now I know it's actually seriously a possible opponent for Haye.
I actually made this joke in one of the (many) Haye threads a while ago, now it can actually be true :scaredas:
edit: (that was an overuse of the word actually, actually)

    Haye KO, early, no debate.
If they fight I really, really, really hope Mormeck gets in a lucky punch.

Yeah I hear talks about this fight are getting kinda serious. Remember before Haye actually signed on to fight Harrison no one believed he'd actually go through with it.

Trust me, in a day or two, some misguided Haye fans will put all kinds of spin to justify Haye fighting Mormeck. They will be dead serious and say this is a reasonable opponent given variable x and variable y, and it will no longer be a joke to them. So let's laugh now, while we can all laugh together. C'mon Haye fans, join me in my laughter before you rationalize this away.

Haye would walk through Mormeck in about 4 rounds.

Gotta go with Haye by KO. Mormeck doesn't have the power to keep Haye off of him for 12 rounds.

    That's what I expect also...
    Let's give them some bogus excuse already;

"In their last fight Mormeck dropped Haye, and that was at CW. Now they're fighting at HW so Jean Mark will be even more dangerous!" :D

Mormeck looked absolutely horrific in his last bout against Timur Ibragimov and some called his "win" over Oquendo a gift decision if not robbery. He was unable to cause trouble to neither of these journeymen nor was he able to outbox them at HW.

Haye would demolish this washed up HW version of Mormeck in three rounds, as a near 39 year Mormeck wouldn't land a single punch.
