While Tyson had a much stronger right hand then Frazier, his left wasnt as good. I honestly think Frazier had the better left hook. And Frazier cut the ring better IMO. There is no doubt Tyson had faster hands and feet then Frazier but IMO he couldnt cut the ring as well as Frazier could.

    I disagree.
Look at the positioning in the 5th picture posted in my post (v. Tucker).
It's laughable. You could just as easily rip it apart.

Obviously, you're going to stick to your story, and I know I don't have time to debate it. And I'm sure you've got some champions to train, or something.

Frazier's left hook was different to Tyson's but, comparing their footage, Tyson's appeared to have greater effect.

Now I can see it. Hes still going to land in a squared stance where he launced that righthook from a correct conventional stance.

Try it yourself throw a lefthook from a southpaw stance leaning forward see where you end up. Now throw a righthook from a correct conventional stance or even a squared stance going forward, you will still end in a squared stance and in better balance

In the first scenario your only going to land out of balance and in a position that will take more moves to reset yourself.

  7. frazier was a bit taller than tyson(frazier was 1,80m and tyson 1,78m and like i said.. frazier did hit harder with the left hand, he was better pressure fighter, better body puncher(larry holmes said it too),he was better inside, he had more heart, more stamina, he was stronger late, and not, tyson was not bigger than frazier of natural way. tyson had modern advantages in nutrition , supplements, and training it is because he was around 7 pounds heavier.frazier weighed 210 pounds against foster,28 years old frazier weighed 217 against stander, tyson weighed 215-216 against holmes, tyson weighed 220 against berbick, tyson was more muscular but frazier had bigger structure. simply look at his legs... frazier was a bull compact and h enever trained weights, and he never took supplements or roids.

You might be right. But my point is, still photos can be deceiving, and even at their bests fighters can be caught making mistakes.
On the other hand, you did say "sums up" rather than proves, so I jumped in arguing unnecessarily.
I just have this thing about still photos ; they are good, and bad.
Fluid footage is better - except everyone claims to see different things with moving pictures.

I don't think Tyson trained with weights either, in his prime.

  10. when he was 19 he weighed around 212-213-214 pounds, but he trained weights when he was 20-22 years old and he weighed around 220 pounds, it is obvious, i know a body trained by weights.. and anyway he had advantages in supplements, it is a key factor. tyson trained his musculature, frazier did train boxing... and his body was because his genetics.. the best weight of prime tyson was 216 pounds(ruddock, holmes, tubbs, green, marvis). a peak frazier70 weighed 210 pounds against bob foster.
6 pounds of difference!! and tyson had advantages of his modern era!!
oh i forgot it.... larry holmes said that frazier would have beat tyson by tko in 8-9 rounds....

The punch is at the 1:13 mark, its a horrible punch, and leaves him in a bad position when he misses. He actually uses it in the sequence again to stop McNeeley and look how hes in poor balance and has to reset. Overall he looks horribly amatuer in doing it.

Edit actually looks to be at the 1:28 mark. The one at the 1:13 mark is worse

I've never seen any pictures or film of Tyson doing weights at age 20 - 22, and when asked weight-training he said he didn't do weights.
Rooney says he didn't do weights.

Well next fight, he missed horribly and left himself in poor position to get countered by Mathis Jr. He got hit in spots against Bruno too, and was basically countered to death against Holyfield. It was definitely a sign of things to come once he faced better opposition in my opinion.

  15. well. i don“t believe it, but anyway, he took tons of supplements and he trained his musculature like an athlete, frazier did train boxing , simply.
