Larry Holmes also says that he would have beaten up George Foreman and Muhammad Ali in his prime. Do you believe him?

Tyson pre-prison didn't train with weights. Post Prison, yes he did.

  2. larry holmes was an egocentric when he was talking about himself, but frazier vs tyson is other history..

yeah, he looked bad against Mathis, but I think Mathis's style didn't help matters.
I thought he looked okay against Bruno. Not at his best, but fast, accurate punching.

I don't remember anyone thinking he'd lose to Holyfield though.

  4. anyway, my point is, that tyson trained his musculature like an athlete,(with weights or not) maybe with his own weight. and he took supplements, it is because he was 6 pounds heavier than frazier.

He may have taken steroids, but there were no good "supplements" in the 1980s (and i don't think they do that much nowadays either).
Then again, maybe Foreman took steroids too.

  6. foreman never took roids, it is evident, foreman was a freak of nature, very big boned and tremendous arms.but you can see the difference between a strong body by genetics and a body like a bodybuilder, tyson took roids, sure. like evander, morrison and almost every modern fighter.

    1) Please, learn to ****ing type

    2) Both of them are generally listed as being around 5'11 1/2. Although on FNR4 Frazier is 5'10

    3) You have made alot of assertions, can you provide evidence for these?

Remember Larry Holmes came between Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson; 2 champions who were mega superstars. He reigned as champ for 7 years and didn't get the respect he deserved meanwhile Tyson walks in and all of a sudden he's one of the most famous people in the world.

Holmes was never fond of Tyson and rarely had a good word for him. I'd take it with a grain of salt.

  9. what?

  10. maybe you are right, because he was a jealous but holmes did pick tyson to knock spinks out early.

FNR4 is a commonly accepted abbreviation for the game entitled 'Fight Night Round 4'.

In regards to your walls of text, you have little appreciation of grammar and/or paragraphs. If people can't read your posts, there is no point in making them.

it doesn't matter, if you're going to make assertions and participate in debates, the basic and necessary skill is to produce legible replies. Else, why post on a forum where the language used is English?

Against who? His best KOs against his best opponents were all (I think) when people stepped into his punches or after Mike had loaded up. I love Mike, so it's not hating, I just don't think he has 'great' inside ability.

I was looking at highlights of the Tyson/Ruddock fights the other day and Tyson was ripping Ruddock with uppercuts to the head and hooks to the body in the inside and this was in '91. Even against Bruno in the first fight the combination he used to stop Bruno was mainly on the inside. I wouldn't consider Tyson an inside fighter but his mid range fighting was so good that I think he felt he didn't have to rely much on inside work. He still was lethal when he wanted to be fighting in close.
