I don't watch the majority of heavyweight fights. I watch Wlad and Haye but that's about it. If Vitali is on, I'll have a look, but only because I'm a boxing fan.

And it's because I'm a boxing fan that I do post all this stuff. I'm not a hater of either Klitschko and, as I've said before, I prefer Wlad to Haye. I'm just pointing out certain things which are true.

What do you think of this post?

"I'm not saying he's the greatest fighter by any means, it's just his attitude to the sport that impresses me. In the ring, he doesn't avoid anyone. He called out the people who beat him for years, he's chosen to fight southpaws, an obvious weakness in his game, and if he has one failure as a fighter, it's his chin - but he's never looked to avoid big punchers. I think that says a lot about him. Sadly, there aren't many fighters who choose to overcome obstacles like Klitschko does.

Mainly though, look at what he does outside the ring. He brings so much respect to the sport. Whether it's his gracious comments towards his opponent, his friendly, approachable attitude with the press or his vast amount of charity work. He doesn't spend his money on flashy jewellry or feeding his fat entourage. He tries to make the world a better place, which I think we can all appreciate.

Wlad is the definition of a true champion. One of the greatest ever, in my opinion."

Do I think he was going all out yes. Do I think he was gassed a bit from the acumilation of power punches thrown yes. Did he perhaps take of a late round to recover probably. Another gear No. Who knows what motivates a fighter to stay on his feet. Briggs could have been shell shocked into instincts. What your saying is kinda like; why didn't Pac KO Margarito. The answer is did he really need to? No he handed him a similar beating that Briggs took and in the end If you ask me I'd rather be put to sleep quick then take possible life altering punishment from superior athletes. Was the outcome just as severe as a KO? yes. Make no mistake these safety first approaches come now where close to resembling the ODH vs. Trinadad late rounds.

As in all conflicts you fight to the best of your attributes not your opponents. Which is what the Brothers have done for years.. If you(general public) don't like intelligent big men go watch Butterbean replays or Kimbo youtube videos. There's a guy that had whole countries interested in him yet he had no skill. Something similar to Haye getting all this press. All be it Haye is talented and 1,000,000 times more skilled then Kimbo. And I know Kimbo is horrible to bring up on this site. I was just trying to make comparisons of hype. Although Kimbo was hyped up by the public while Haye has done his own( and great job) himself.

GOD forgive me for using Kimbos name. :amen

Exactly. Put it this way I perosnally am not a fan of Mayweather. I thought he and his family were funny on 24/7. I respect his skill's immensely. And really haven't ever given anybody a shot at beating him that he has fought. Yet he has a way lower KO% then the brothers. Yet he's popular as hell. But he is recognized as #1,2 P4p and rightfully so. But is the difference between his style " hit and not be hit" that far from the Klit's? Simply put the Bro's K have stopped 96 victory's with all but 9 coming by way of stoppage. There is no denying the skill of these fighters.

Yes talking brings excitement into the fights and promotions, but can't skill stand for itself. If no; WWE is on IDK once or twice a week. Go watch that.

I can't believe you think he was going all out. I think it's clear he was happy to win on points.
There's no need to bring Kimbo or Butterbean into it. Fans aren't asking for that type of fighter, they are asking for a Louis, Dempsey, Liston, Frazier, Patterson, Holmes, Ali, Tyson, Holyfield, Baer, Marciano, Lewis and so on. A heavyweight with skills and ruthlessness.

That shouldn't be too much to ask for.

My ideal pick would be Cunningham. The best cruiserweight out there and the best American heavyweight. Apart from him, Povetkin.

Apart from them, I'm not intrigued in any other fight. I'll watch, because I like Haye, but no other fighter truly interests me. Haye is stuck though because the WBA list is full of awful, boring or unavailable fighters. From the list, if it isn't Povetkin, Mormeck is the next best option.

No. Which is why I didn't say that.

I'm saying I like entertaining fighters. End of.

I wanted to buy into Haye. Lennox Lewis was one of my favorite fighters. But Haye unlike Lennox is a true Brit, so naturally pussed out when the going got rough.

    really?

so it has nothing to do with what he says? Hell, we all like to talk (some more than others), but usually if people dislike you it probably has a lot to do with what you say.

Oh yeah and nice race card.:good:hey

If Haye was white or asian or oriental, he'd still be an *******.

You may find this very hard to get, but some people regard good manners as being important.

Haye has none. Maybe that's why some of us don't like him.[/QUOTE]

Well said, but it wont help with a dope like Relentless.
