Letting Pac go and failing to make Pac vs. Floyd is the last straw. HBO is junk compared to what it used to be. They won't show the world heavyweight champions, they failed to make the biggest fight in history (now Floyd has his excuse that Pac is with Showtime, and it will never be made) and all they really give is junk handpicked fights with Berto, Haymon and Golden Boy bums. Good ridance HBO. And if American boxing fans want to see change, and see real fights in stead of frauds like Mayweather and Berto, it's time to boycott HBO. Take a stand for Pacquiao and the Klitschkos and Cotto. Cancel HBO. If people keep supporting HBO they will continue to give you garbage fights.
While HBO is certainly partially to blame for terrible matchmaking choices over the last few years, and trying to hand the torch to a totally undeserving Berto, let's not forget Bob Arum is EVERY BIT as much of a detriment to the sport right because of his childish grudge against GBP and his refusal to co-promote with them. Now that he feels emboldened by this move to showtime, expect to see even MORE sub-par in-house matchmaking and championship fights featuring totally undeserved participants (ie. Shane Mosley). I'm highly skeptical this will be in anyone's best interests on here. If it generates more exposure via CBS' clout, great! But don't expect any of the fights he presents to be anything different than the mismatches we're accustomed to seeing at the moment.
i wouldnt subscribe to none of these garbage networks, taking my hard earned money easy each month for NOTHING yuhzeeeit if anything, i watch fights at the bar in the dot. that way you can tell whos playing the fight, who cares about it and who goes out to watch it, and you can feel the general atmosphere of the fight ima see the montiel and the alexander joints live, order 6 at a time and burn a couple outside the place. thats how we do and we been doin for all the big fights
