There are a few officials involved in boxing up in QLD which i dont rate too highly.

 

As I understand it, there has been some discontent in the QANBF with Brad which blew up at a recent meeting.
It seems that the QANBF have a sponsorship deal & they wear it's name brand on their uniform. Brad has negotiated his own deal & wears it's brand.

Seems this caused some conflict because it's dishonouring the State Feds committment to their sponsor.

When asked to replace his with the agreed Fed deal, Brad refused & walked.

 

Hope nothing like this happens in Sydney.

.....imagine if all the refs were forced to wear shoes like Phil Austin's!

Not sure if this is entirely right. I think they just didnt want Brad to have the extra logo on his Shirt.
There sponsorship is on a diffrent spot on the Shirt as far as i know.

 

Brad's got a tie signed by Richard Steele i doubt any of you blokes have.

 

I think Brad is a very good ref from what i have seen over the years tho!

 

personalities aside I reckon he would be great in some sort of role in coaching ref's and judges...he's sharp as a tack and has got great passion for it.

 

The Major Sponsor Madison Sport paid the fee to be on the back of the referee's shirts.

Anyone who has ever dealt with sponsorship will understand you don't then go and get another sponsor of the same industry to go along side it.

Simple really.

Actually I worded that wrong.
His logo was in addition to the state sponsor & was asked to remove it.

No question about his competance & dedication from me.
