    Just watched it now and its absolutely brilliant. Loved it from start to finish. Christian Bale is outstanding- few mistakes, omissions here and there- but doesn't detract from the story.

    I've heard this but as a purist, all the historical inaccuracies would **** me off.

    Doesn't he win the 'World title' at the end.....against Shea Neary? :rofl F'n Hell.

    OTR mentioned about the wee mistake, think it was mainly about the HBO commentary and Hollywood have slightly sexed it up!

    Yes but - its not overly focussed on been a WORLD CHAMP its more the victory and getting there- trust me.

    Come on - the guy was a machine and 22-0 (17ko's) he was a tough man just short of top world class.

    I'm going watch it early next week. If it works as a film then that'll do for me, Hollywood was never going to make the boxing side of it totally accurately.

    The boxing is not terrible- a little pussyfied. I always think they should at least punch each other hard- but the knockdowns are very well recreated.

    I watched Sanchez- Ward live on the De La Hoya whitiker undercard as youngster- little did I know....

    It's being promoted a helluva lot. Adverts everywhere of it.

    Doesn't come out till 5th Febuary though..

    The film was fantastic. Bale has a Golden Globe and an Oscar will follow.
    Not a great fan of the actual fight scenes.
    It's a terrific story ruined by too many Rocky exchanges.
    I'm hoping to get Micky Ward on the show soon.
