What incredible victory could your favorite(s) achieve, but at too high a cost?

True, but Pacquiao always seems to have his most difficult fights against guys with foot or head movement. Espcially when the make Pacquiao follow them around the ring.
If Martinez from the first Paul Williams fight comes out, then I don't see Pac winning, but he can probably beat him if Martinez fights him like he did Paul in the rematch

 

That would be an effort of epic proportions. I just couldn't see Castillo backing down either. It would take a looot of volume and one hell of a gameplan.

 

How can you say that the fight was over in 2 rounds, martinez just came out throwing left hook bombs to williams, who was his same no defence having self. If martinez did that vs pac and it wouldnt work he would be back to moving countering etc. within 3 rounds.
I take martinez in a match up vs pac but I still want to see it. 160 final fight for pac something like that. But I think pac sv chavez 160 is more likely.

Easily. Abraham is far too predictable. One lucky punch could be lights out, though.

 

Choosing a personal favourite of mine...I'd have to say a prime Oscar vs Ray Leonard at 147. Both are incredible athletes with Ray being the better boxer and both having nasty left hooks. Ray should and would be the clear clear favourite but I feel that Oscar is capable of the upset, its just unlikely a highly dangerous fight for him (he could be KOed in this fight I think, not something many people could do to Oscar at 147).

To chose a modern day example with an active fighter. Its been peddled about in recent days but Donaire at 126 against Lopez or Cabellero would be quite the feat. Maybe he is capable of it as Lopez and Cabellero aren't incredible fighters but they are both dangerous. Donaire would not want to be getting hit often.

Also Marquez vs Pacquiao at 147. I don't personally believe Marquez stands a chance in hell and would in all likelyhood be KOed...still, who was the guy that took Manny to razor thin decisions?

 

Real interesting point about DLH and SRL. His jab and combination punching would make it interesting. Underrated H2H in my opinion. I like the Donaire and Marquez shout-outs too. I wonder how high JMM could compete at in an all-or-nothing gladiator match-up.


I mentioned Arthur Abraham before, whose the biggest & best fighter Floyd could beat without regards to his health or career post-fight?

Of my 3 favorites all tried and only one of did the unthinkeable and beat the young,much bigger and prime Iran Barkley, Great win for Duran my all time favorite.

Oscar bit off more than he could chew against Hopkins, he did good early but Hopkins was just too big and you could tell was on his way to breaking him down (he did)..

My other favorite was Chacon he was already past it but still put up a great effort against Mancini to try and win his 3rd title. I think they stopped it to early especially considering Chacons reputatation for making great comebacks.. but he didnt look the same fought back hard but didnt look like the same Chacon.

Barrera is another favorite of mine i think he has a shot at a 4th title if he were to fight Soto.

Joe Calzaghe moving up to light heavyweight to face Roy Jones Jr. in 2002 instead of 2008. Beating Jones at that time would've been incredible (but dangerous as Clinton Woods found out late that year).

 

I'm thinkin in an all-out fight with no thought about the consequences tomorrow, Martinez could beat someone just a little better than Bute.

 

So, what's the best welterweight or jr middleweight Julio Cesar Chavez could beat on skill, will, and natural gifts, all concerns about post-fight health and safety aside?
