    sergio was brilliant but victor cayo and lucas matthysse both lost their biggest fights this year while roach had a great year with both Manny Pacquiao,Amir Khan and the rest of his stable

    Cayo and Matthysse were both pretty big underdogs. Surely you can't knock Sarmiento for having his fighters lose in fights they were largely expected to. Pacquiao was beating Clottey and Margarito regardless of whether he was trained by Roach. Khan didn't follow Roach's gameplan against Maidana either. Whereas Sarmiento gave Martinez the perfect gameplan for Williams and done the job against Pavlik too.
