To the contrary one could argue how Vitali was quite unlucky throughout his career with numerous injuries and at least four surgeries (both knees, shoulder and back). With a little more luck Vitali could have worked towards a more impressive HW career.

As with the ant, scaling doesn't work like you are imagining. You can't just take something one size, and scale it up to another while keeping all of the smaller scale attributes. If Hopkins was really 6'9" he'd have an entirely different body to work with, and who knows how good, if at all, he would be. There are a lot of guys that size who aren't very good (Tye Fields, Julius Long, etc...).

Every successful fighter has some degree of luck they didn't share an era with another outstanding force.

I mean Louis and Ali are lucky they didn't share an era..something would have to give. History is weird that way, fascinating brain food but yet another dumb comment from Hopkins.

 

BHOP is one of my favorite fighters, but he´s embarrasing himself too often lately.

At 46, it seems he´s showing signs of senility or something. So many negative comments in a short period of time is something I would expect from a bitter old grampa.
