What do you think he weighs in that pic? 265? Keep in mind Solis showed up at the Austin press conference looking 290-300ish, just a morbidly obese mofo. However he got down to 260 for the weigh-in. So especially in Germany away from Florida, I think there's hope Solis will step in the ring under 250, possibly close to 240, and won't actually look too bad physically the night of the fight. But losing all that weight so quickly will take its toll.
Solis looks about the same as the Austin fight to me, so I'd say 260 is his current weight. I agree. Solis has time to lose the weight..but he should really be spending his time on proper training, not weight loss. The lightest Solis has ever been for a pro fight is 246, which I think is still too heavy for him. He was about this same weight when he won an 8rd UD over Julius Long...so clearly, 246 is still too heavy (especially when you consider that in 2004 Solis fought at 201).
Solis has a very good defense. Most of Vitali's punches will hit the guard. I would be surprised if it doesn't go the full 12 rounds.
If it goes 12 rounds, I think Vitali wins 11 or 12 of those rounds. However, seeing that Vitali was upset that he didn't KO Briggs in his last fight, I'm sure he will definitely want to get the KO.
The picture of a man to be taken seriously as a fighter: fat, jheri curl, and with a ****ing bigass spongebob jewelery ornament... atsch As much as I want to believe in Solis' ability and amateur pedigree, his discipline is embarassing, and I agree with Silencer, I'd be surprised to see him win a single round. Professional boxing is a sport where discipline and conditioning trumps everything else... That's what separates potential from champions.
