The S6 winner can vacate the WBC title. S6 Winner vs Bute would still be a huge WBA/IBF unification fight.

The whole situation is actually pretty cool!

    Bute wants the S6 winner.

Kessler is coming back, and wants the winner.

    Pavlik is coming back.

Kessler and Froch need a rematch.

    Bute/Pavlik talks might resume.

    Bute/Froch is a hell of a fight.

Froch vs a focused and determined Pavlik is WAR.

Glen Johnson is a genuine dark horse who could mess up everyone's "plans."

We have 5 or 6 young undefeated guys at 168.

The way I see it the Super Six final will not determine "The Man" at 168. This thing could go on for a couple more years before we see a "dominant" champion.

You forgot Dirrell and I'll be happy if Taylor would make a come-back fighting for the WBO against Stieglitz. :yep

We DO know that. He fought Calzaghe with an injured hand sustained 3 weeks before fighttime. It prevented him from sparring and was surgically repaired afterwards.

    Against Ward he had doublevision.

I cant see how his eye injury will heal if im honest, im mean he's had it quite a while, permanent damage must have already been done.

Precisely. And what people are forgetting is that Kessler didn't have to vacate the WBC title. He could, and IMO should, have kept it and stalled his next mandatory defense as other WBC champions have done.

Instead he vacated in loyalty towards showtime and s6 so that the WBC title could stay in the tournament. In exchange for that, he got a shot at the WBC champion at the time when he was ready to fight again.

Of course. He not only has the right but is he also much more deserving considering the poor resume Bute has in comparison.

Bute might get stripped for not fighting Mendy... just sayin.

I tend to believe Johnson would retire or go back up to 175 is he loses to Froch. But that's just me.

You're right, this situation could be awesome if Kessler's injury has healed completely, if Pavlik gets comfortable at 168, if Johnson doesn't want out of the picture, if Froch doesn't go after Pascal when he's done the S6, if Dirrell and/or Taylor come back and if Stieglitz finally accepts a big paycheck so the WBO belt is thrown into the mix. Degale is rising fast too.

The winner of Kessler-Bute should fight one of Dirrell/Pavlik/S6-semis-losers to try balancing it out with what the S6 winner will have gone through... while the S6 winner takes on a guy like Sartison or Stieglitz.

The doctor said it could be cured with rest, so it's possible. Judging from the recent comments from Kessler it sounds like he'll be back injury or not. :(

Who are you calling a *****?

Mikkel Kessler has fought Carl Froch, Andre Ward and Joe Calzaghe all of whom are far better than anyone your boyfriend has fought. Twat. :fire

He is the one that seems to sit and wait for Ward, instead of fighting Bute.

If Kessler is ready and fights twice before facing the super 6 winner, what will you say if he doesn't fight Bute? Remember, Bute signed with Showtime thinking that he would face Kessler in March, so Bute wants him before the final.

Of course. That's why Bute's promoter had began negociations with Palle something like 3 years ago... just before Kessler's contractual problems.
    :patsch

Bute is ready for Kessler, healthy or not.
