    Thank you.

So Sonny would have had his last injection on the 28th of November at the latest in hospital.

Let's just say he died on the 30th of December. That's 32 days to heal any sites of administered drugs. So my question is: why was Liston's armed "peppered" with syringe marks at the time of his death?

    1) Liston somehow took 30 days plus to heal

    2) Liston was injecting himself heavily and often in between hospital and death

    3) Whoever set him up went absolutely bonkers sticking the killing syringe in him.

I like 2. I think Liston was a heavy user.

Dealer? Who knows. I'd be surprised though if he wasn't making some kind of moves to get cash.

Sonny was hanging around with some Hollywood people, who were users.

So, I'm sure the partying could have spilled over.
And he was close to Joe Louis.

But, you would think, since Sonny was right-handed, the marks would be on his
left arm, if he was applying the needle.
Also, behind the knee, is another nice spot.

Yeah, the hand problem is a worry. I like occam's razor myself in situations where there is less than overwhelming evidence either way.

I say that Liston injected himself in the right arm, for whatever reason.

But there is an additional possibility that's always intrigued me, it's pure speculation, but I often wondered if Liston could cope with injections - as he did in the hospital - but that he didn't like injecting himself.

Maybe someone was helping him with his heroin addiction.

Maybe that same person had a real "oh ****" moment in Liston's bedroom on a December night that year. Maybe it was nothing but an accident, but still, someone else was involved.

I have to dig a little, to see exactly where Godfrey Cambridge and Redd Foxx
    were, around Christmas 1970.
    They were his Hollywood pals.

It may have been completely accidental.
Sonny was scheduled to go to Japan, for '2' celebrity referee deals.
The tickets were already paid for, and the flight was scheduled for him and his wife
    Geraldine.

Also, after Sonny got back from Los Angeles, he picked up his new black
    1971 Cadillac Fleetwood.

I think that Liston died on an accident. He got pissed up, he had marijuana on him and he was using heroin, i suspect intravenously. That's a beauty of a cocktail. The actual cause of death wasn't heroin based upon the compromised reading from the kidneys. I think he fell, hit his head heavily (There is evidence of this) and smothered himself or otherwise restricted his own breathing. I like the autopsy, straight up.

Il Duce, some sources have an "unidentified black powder" at the death-scene - any ideas what this was, or why it was unidentified?

Let's remember that Gordon Lightfoot's former mistress Cathy Evelyn Smith killed John Belushi by injecting him with 11 speedballs, and stupidly busted herself by telling her story in a paid interview to the National Enquirer. Maybe somebody else did shoot up Sonny in the same way, but was smart enough to hightail it out of his house and remain silent.

I have my own two possible theories.

But, several loop holes have to be closed.

One, Sonny came back from his (17-day) Los Angeles visit, and arrived in Las Vegas,
on Tuesday, December 2, in the late-afternoon.
His wife picked him up at the Las Vegas Airport.

Wasnt it his wife who stated that they were broke when Sonny died?

Bonavena was killed in Reno not Vegas, a good 500 miles away.

    Doubt if he was broke.

On Friday, December 4, he bought a new 1971 Cadillac Fleetwood from the
    North Las Vegas Cadillac dealership.
Of course, he traded in his 1970 car, but he also dropped $2200 cash down for the remainder of the balance.

The value of his Ottawa Drive home was $125,000+, which was paid for.

You can own a million dollar home paid for, and $100,000 Bentley and have $50,000 cash in your pocket but if your debt to income/asset ratio is upside down you are for all intents and purposes broke. If you die on the day your debt to income/asset ratio is upside down then the estate has to be settled and once the creditors get theirs there isnt anything left and your heirs are left picking up the pieces. I would assume this is what happened. Look at Tyson, he is for all intents and purposes broke despite owning property, cars, etc and jet setting all over creation. The problem is that while to average every day people this looks like he has money, he is in fact living off of what is essentially borrowed, or stolen money (if he never pays his creditors). Its robbing Peter to pay Paul.

Yes, but Sonny was friends with Kerk Kerkorian,,,,,,,Las Vegas Entrepeneur, and
    multi-millionaire.

Nothing was going to happen, as long as they were friends. He took care of any of
    Sonny's outstanding debts.

Sonny, did get admitted to a Las Vegas Emergency Room, on or about
    Monday, December 7.

He was suffering from 'flu-like' symptoms, and was given IV treatment that
day/evening, before being releasesd, the next day.

From what I can find, he spent the next several days at home with his wife, relaxing by his pool.

On Thursday Morning, December 10, he worked out at the Sahara Hotel Health Club.
On Friday, December 11, he worked out with sparring partner Gary Bates, at the Ringside Gym.
Friday Night, Sonny Liston and his wife were dinner guests at Circus Circus.
