There's this big son of a ***** that has been giving me **** at a place I drink. He is about 6'4 260 pounds but if Kelly hit's him on the button it's lights out.

Seriously, after a couple tune ups Abraham would be a decent match up for him.

I'd still prefer Shumenov over Cloud. Would have been nice if he had fought and beaten Braehmer.........

Anyway, Shu as his 2nd fight would have been acceptable to me, epecially since he would be moving up 2 weight classes. It would give him future bargaining power as well if he were to win the belt.

You think he's more likely to try his hand at lhw than smw it seems?

As far as I know they have not made a decision on weight. However, I'm convinced that it has been a long time since KP was a real middleweight. Check out this vid from 2002, and decide for yourself.

I'm sold on the wisdom of leaving mw. If he can't make it in a healthy fashion, there is no sense in trying. I think he can make some noise at both. However, I think he needs to be careful with his matchups, especially at lhw. But we'll see.

I doubt PWill or Sturm goes up to > 160 to meet Pavlik's demands, which include a weight upwards of MW. If Kessler loses in the summer/fall, Pavlik-Kessler would be a great watch. Last chance to join the elite @ SMW, loser goes back to the drawing board or retires.

Dirrell would be bad for Kelly.

Andrade is a tune up, gate keeper, type fighter. If Pavlik can't handle fighters of that level no amount of other tune up fights are going to help him.

I think you are under rating Andrade. He lost to a prime Kessler. He suffered a controversial loss to Bute, and a TKO loss to Bute. That's it. He only loses to the cream of the crop.

i think at the end of the day, an andrade fight is one that everyone could get behind. and yeah boo i agree, andrade is more than just a gatekeeper.

Ya -- Andrade is not a "tune-up" fight.

And by the way, yesterday Cameron Dunkin said Arum has "officially" offered KP a spot on the Pac/Mosely card. Kelly was in the middle of a work out when Dunkin tried to call him, so he hasn't responded. Kelly's dad told Dunkin Kelly is doing great. I hope they make his return official soon.

I like great comebacks and hope that Pavlik will give us one.
I'm waiting for Cotto's comeback too.

Someone here said Pavlik would beat Pirog.
I very much doubt that. It's probably irrelevant given he is unlikely to make 160 again.
Pirog's style would be all wrong for Pavlik. Pavlik would have too much difficulty trying to land on Pirog and I reckon Pirog would frustrate Pavlik and simply pick him off. Pirog is beatable but only by someone who has good movement or is a counter puncher. Pavlik is more of a hunter with straight punches and it's a case of paper scissors rock only pavlik is the rock and Pirog is the paper.
