Murray is not struggling to make 135, The Lawton thing was a one-off **** up that got blown out of proportion. He's come in comfortably under 135 three times since.

And he fought at higher weights earlier in his career against journeymen where there was no need to make lightweight all the time. At championship level he is a lightweight though.

135 Khan (especially pre-Roach) I'd have given Murray a good chance. Now...:-(

3 weeks? I thought it was between 1 and 2 for the average fighter training, which is why I thought 10 weeks would be enough. Especially for someone like Murray who, like I said, wouldn't be a small JWW. But I honestly don't think it'll be a problem for him...

Dragging on a bit too long now. Must be a twist in the works behind the scene preventing him from making an announcement.

Could there be a last minute prescot fight? God I hope so.

Perhaps peterson has returned to the table? Or marquez has stated his desire to travel?

Either way I don't think it's just between murray and mccloskey any more.

Well, there are "things you can take" to get it down to around 2 weeks, but assuming that isn't the case, it's not really achievable, as like I said it has to be done prior to your camp.

If a fighter was going up from Lightweight to Lightwelter, they should have a minimum of 5 month between the bouts to put on the weight, and then begin training. There are exceptions when the fighter is actually struggling to stay at 135, but there is no indication of that with Murray

I remember reading a few rumours/reports of him slowly out-growing 135, and that a move up to 140 was imminent.

5 months? I remember when JMM moved up against Casamayor, the fight was announced around June/July, and it took place in September - that was like, 2 months? And when Khan moved up against Kotelnik, the deal was finalized in April and the fight was in July - 3 months. In these lower weights, I really don't think a fighter needs a minimum of 5 months to go up a mere 5 pounds in weight.

Khan was well known to have issues getting to 135, so it wasn't as much of an issue.

Remember that just like how Murray could be set to fight Khan.. just because this is how you SHOULD do it, it doesn't mean people don't just take the fight anyway. They might even win. But what I'm referring to is the fact that to get to 140 and for all that to be effective weight, you need that time due to the limitations on time it takes to gain muscle.

Run from McCloskey? If I remember correctly it was Khan who brought Dudey to the table. McKloskey will have to do a lot to ever get the opportuniaty to share a ring with Khan, infact if Khan does not lose his next three fights, McCloskey will never be mentioned in the same Sentence as him again, apart from maybe a few Irish bars, who still think Wayne McCollough should be Juanma's next opponent.

And i'm sure Khan was filled with jealousy when he heard Barry Hearn talking about McCloskeys "Big one in york hall".

Murray isn't even proven at world level at Lightweight so it is a **** fight.
Time to talk to Peterson again...

I can tell you that they offered 5x as much as Paul's highest pay-day, according to Team Khan.

    Go figure it out.

Who cares about that? I don't get any Money , do I?

**** it, Khan might aswell go for Murray. Go and knock him out to shut the Mancunian's up who think Khan is scared of him.

I won't be going to this though.

That's in the region of £370K.

I don't believe they offered him that much, although it's possible Khan was not referring to an outright sum, but a "theoretically possible payout given PPV conditions", the reason I won't believe it is because there is absolutely no way Mccloskey would turn that sum down. He would of told Hearns to take it.
