lyle would punish dempsey dempsey would feel as if he was being hit with a 2x4 i dont see this fight lasting more than 5 rounds before then ref stops the fight and raises rons arm in victory:yep:think

Ron was one of those big slow guys that were easy meat for Jack. Peralta, Young and Quarry all demonstrated that it wasn't necessary to weigh 200 pounds in order to be able to compete with him. With Dempsey's speed and mobility, Lyle would be put through hell for as long as it lasted.

Young was an elusive boxer, as different than Dempsey as possible stylewise. Quarry fought the fight of his life against Lyle and did it with an exceptional display of patience and counter punching .. I definitely like Dempsey in this match up but if fights like he did against Firpo, losing his head and seeing red, he would get flattened ... if he keeps his cool his speed would make the difference and he's stop Ron in three or four ...

Dempsey would take him within 5. Lyle has nice skills for a guy who started late but not good enough for Dempsey's speed. Jack may even hit the canvas but he is the only one standing when this is over.

"Lyle would KO Dempsey in the 1st round - IT A FACT!! If you disagree, you know **** on boxing and i will fight you and your families!! Lyle bigger, stronger, iron chin, was winning in fight with Ali in 1976!! Ron Lyle is a top 5 puncher of all time, he dropped iron chin Foreman 2 times and KO'd Shavers!!"

    That guy?

On paper this should be a fairly routine fight for Dempsey.

The caveat to that is that Dempseys routine involves him dodging bullets to fairly small margins of error.

There is always the outside chance that Lyle lands the lucky bomb and puts him on ***** street.

I remember the undefeated hyped up Lyle coming into the Quarry fight thinking he was going to kill Jerry who was 6" 200, Jerry dominated and rocked Lyle into a defensive fight. I think Dempsey was faster hit harder and I do not think Lyle could hurt Jack. I like Dempsey by a KO before 10

Dempsey would stop Lyle in the mid rounds. Would counter him quite easily. Just too fast and powerful for Lyle who got stunned by lesser punchers like Young, Quarry, and Ali. Dempsey by KO.
