    Nothing.

Between bretcko's never ending pointless threads and Bubby's seemingly insane level of stupidity, there is only maybe one option.

Just respond by saying "I am right, you are wrong" to EVERY post. Or just put the plebs on ignore.

His best win is Chambers, not Byrd. Both of those wins came pretty early in his career too. We haven't seen the best of him yet

You suggest throwing him into the 90s like it was one moment in time when all of the above fighters were at their best, but in reality you could pick a specific year and most of the guys you listed would be pre or post prime. A fighter doesn't have to run a gauntlet of all the best guys in the division to make a name for himself, he just has to beat one or two big names and all of a sudden he is a big name himself.

Take the mid 90s for example. I think he beats a couple of contenders like Schultz and Botha. Then stepping up; Moorer? Very possibly. The McCall that Bruno beat for the title? Bruno in 1996, the Bowe that fought Golota in their first fight? These are potentially winnable fights that can put a fighter in the history books

That is the 90s aswell. I think the 90s was probably an even better era than the 70s when you look at the best fighters as well as depth. How would Povektin fare in the 80s, 60s, 50s and earlier? He could be a top contender in all of these divisions. Its unfair to just list fighters that would beat him because boxing doesn't work like that

Wlad the better technical fighter, faster and more heavy handed than Vitali Vitali has respectable pop yet most of his KO's (against semi-decent oposition) are more down to high output/accumulation punches (he hit Lewis with everything and to the consternation of the "kiltites and chincheckers" didn't get "glass-jawed" Lewis out of there). This said the quality of Vitali's opponents might have something to do with his very high KO ratio.
As for Wlad he did have a tendency to panic when caught (never really sepparated from his senses though), and is very cautious as a consequence of his past experiences. Can't deny Wlad is winning and that a lot of contenders are avoiding, he has done very well to find with Steward a style that none of the current HW's have an answer to.
But am not sure that Haye is avoiding him, beyond the hype it seems to be mutual avoidance, although I do tend to think Wlad would win if he lasts more than 6-7 rounds and doesn't get caught and succumb to panic. Think that at this stage Haye might just be a bit 2 fast and mobile for an ageing (out of prime) Vitali but no sure thing either.
As regards the hypothetical all-time champ matchups, my view is that due to the evolution in size, it should be more down to a lb 4 lb type of match up. I.E. how would a Wlad or Vitali (and Lewis, Hollyfield, Tyons etc. matchup with past greats (Marciano, Frazier, Ali etc.) if they were within 10 - 15 lbs of the opponent. I believe that this brings the argument back to a big good fighter normally beats a good/great small fighter, and no doubt that the Klits are good. All things being equal, unlikely they beat a 2meter 240kg Ali, Frazier, Tyson etc.
    Cheers.

I would not say this is the greatest era of boxing. I would not say it is **** either as many do. I think the Klitschko's would be a good fight for anybody in boxing's past. Alot of fighters in the past have had fights against lower level fighters and I mean some of the greats of boxing. Pick a name and you will find some bums. I don't think they are the greatest......but they are very ....very....very far from the worst. I will say and give them credit as they always come to a fight in shape and I don't think ANYONE can say they are not dedicated to boxing.

I think Vitali is the far tougher of the two. 6 time world kickboxing champ, 3 time heavyweight boxing champ, military champ & more. Never knocked down, let alone a count against him, and always ahead on the cards in every fight. You have to respect the guy and he has class and brains. His injury's came from kickboxing, think he would have been a terror if he only boxed and left the kickboxing out. Without earlier injury's in kickboxing......he could have been even better at boxing. Vitali is not scared of anyone!

Man needs respect for that. Ps- think Vitali gives anyone in the past a tough night. I don't mean he would win every fight...but he would win.

Wald is a good fighter that doesn't have the chin of Vitali. He has learned to compensate for that with his fighting technique.

In short we have two good fighters that are good for boxing and are good for the sport with the way they conduct themselves both in and out of the ring. How can people hate on that? Does that make them the best ever....no! But dammit they are very good and its about time they get some credit!

Like I said...Pick a name...any fighters name and we can come up with fights that where against fighters that should have not been there. Klitschko's not the best...But pretty dame good.

    Peace

lol...he is fat immobile and 8 inches smaller....how can Solis win if he is too small to slug it out and to fat to hit and move?
