    HUDDIE = GOAT!

    ^ speaking of which, my opinion of Johnson has pinballed like crazy thanks to the facts and opinions shared in these parts. On the one hand, he was a beast in his day and didn't get nearly enough credit until posthumously (and even then maybe not enough). On the other hand...how useful is he really against other ATG's h2h, based on what we can see? :think

    It seems like every time I see Johnson on a HW list or p4p list, my knee-jerk reaction is "too high". But, it is what it is. :conf Maybe, one day, I'll change my mind.

    I've always been high on Monzon...But the more you watch him, the more you realize this guy's boxing IQ is off the charts.
    Taken more notice of fighters like Herrera, Castillo, Rose and Harada too. I've been behind the curve, I guess.

    One thing on here i was happy about was how quickly a lot of posters came around to the idea of Khaokor possibly being the better of the two Galaxy brothers, once they had a chance to see him fight.

    Galaxy hasn't had it bad enough IB:good

    For me it's more about fighters I knew nothing or little about that has been brought to my attention (Langford, Burley, Harold Johnson etc). Perhaps Duran has climbed slightly, but I already had him as one of the greats.

    By the way, Ezzard Charles is the right answer. I didn't know nearly enough about how great a LHW he was.

    Lennox Lewis. Went from being ranked #10 or 11 to being rated number 5 or 6.

    You ****ers need to loosen up a bit.

    Seriously, Moyle's book on Langford really moved him into the top spot all time for me, tho he was very close before then.

    I hang on to Monzon as the greatest middle, encouraged somewhat but not discouraged at all by what has been presented.

    Max Baer, oddly, I have taken more seriously.

    I would like to see more discussion of Benny Leonard, who I don't think I appreciate as much as I should. There have got to be some experts here to enlighten me.

    And the insightful dissection of the brilliance of Henry Maske has put him solidly at number 2 behind Landford.

    Jack Britton, Jose Napoles, Barney Ross, Lou Ambers. Way more also, I knew nothing about boxing when I started posting here, now I know slightly more than nothing.
