Is he even at 40% of his peak, though?

I feel he was already down to 65% or so during the Perdomo-Froch era.

Yeah. I reckon Kessler was at his best against Beyer and Andrade. He has been in a decline since.

I totally agree. I would have preferred Stieglitz, even if in my mind, he's not a big threat for Bute. Because that way, all the belt would have been on the table for a super big final show.

    Stieglitz said no.

That's a shame because even if people kept saying he was predictable and had no lateral movement and no head movement, what he was doing was so perfect that he was winning very impressively his fights.

I agree with you: after Beyer and Andrade, he began to fade, even if he did well against Calzaghe.

Bute said he wouldn't fight Mendy. Would he vacate to fight Kessler? I think so. He's assured to fight the super 6 winner, so belts are not a problem in this case.

I know he would have loved to keep his belt for a long time while defending it against the best. He may have to make a choice between the 2 options.

I would be very mad to see Bute fight Mendy if someone good is available and willing. I would lose faith completely.

As long as Kessler has fully recovered and safe to box then its a great come back fight for Kessler and very winnable. It would make Kesslers fight against the winner of the super 6 far more interesting.

But as said Kessler would have to be fully recovered and healthy as it would be awful to have Kessler comeback and perminently damage his eye sight or not be able to compete to his full potential which has been the case throughout the super 6

Judging from interviews on danish television, Kessler seems determined to come back. He says his eyes are 'tolerable', so I'd assume he's back healthy or not.

As much as I'd love to see him return, I really don't like it if he jeopardizes his health.

Bute haters hmmmm... Personally I think Bute is a great talent. I just find it funny that you have the guts to call Kessler a ducker... The man who always traveled to make them big fights...

I already answered to that. I'm only saying he WOULD be ducking if he's healed and avoid Bute. His past won't change that.

I doubt he's really healed though. That's why he will take easy fights until a rematch against Ward.

I think what his trying to say is if you've taken on a nr of worthy challenges it's okey to duck once in a while. :D

I say that Bute has finally an available worthy challenger in Kessler and Bute is the one wanting the fight.

Kessler has good reasons to make a tune up fight. I'd like to hear him say he wants to fight Bute after his tune up.

You see, you say you are not a hater but all your posts are implying that Bute is a coward, avoiding all challenges. I'm still waiting for one single fight Bute would have ducked. You won't find one.
