Were Toney's best performances at mw better than B-Hop's at mw or Calzaghe's at smw?

Can anyone explain to me what relevance this post has to the thread-topic? :dead

Let's see your proof Nunn was top 10 rated p4p then.

Fair enough mate, let's say Kessler was just generaly regarded as top 15 as well instead of top 10 (I had him in my top 10 at the time) Calzaghe beat Kessler more convincingly anyway imo because come from behind KO's are not always convincing and Toney never botherd to rematch him. Toney against B-Hop or Calzaghe is a pick em I'll admit but this gut is a Calzaghe hater. Not a B-Hop hater but not a B-Hop fan either. Why doesn't he mention Toney' loss to Griffin as well.

    Toney
    Hopkins

    Calzaghe

Toney's best performances at middleweight clearly stand out above his 2 competitors. Hopkins's MW resume has a lot of depth, but his biggest wins came over a career welterweight and a former Featherweight, neither of who established a good resume at middleweight. De La Hoya and Trinidad both probably have about 3 quality middleweight wins between them. The Nunn KO was terrific, although I do think he was slightly overrated. The Kalambay win was odd, but an outstanding result nontheless. However, it is the fact that Nunn struggled with Iran Barkley and Marlon Starling that makes me question how good he actually was. Nunn's resume at the time wasn't exactly stellar.

I'm not even going to go into Calzaghe, I'm not quite sure why he's been included in this, Kessler and Lacy are decent wins, but neither were of the highest quality. To conclude, I think that both Nunn and Mcallum were very highly rated opponents, with good skills, who has at least established some sort of passable resume at the weight. The same can not be said for Hopkin's best opponents at MW.

Not joking man - are you ******ed or something? :huh

Why can you not understand the difference between:

    - a thread comparing the best performances of each fighter at a particular weight

    and

    - a thread comparing each man h2h across their careers

    ???

Why would I mention Toney's losses to Griffin, when they were at LIGHTHEAVYWEIGHT, and this thread is about Toney's BEST performances at MIDDLEWEIGHT?

And that's before we even get to the fact that you've been caught out talking ****ing **** about Kessler being in the top 10 just to suit your own argument, and also saying that a points win is more convincing than a ****ing knockout! :patsch

It's people like you that make the General Forum a really tedious chore sometimes.

You have to understand the thread starter. He hates Calzaghe with a passion, and has never forgiven him for beating Hopkins.

Now, he pretty much uses any angle he can to try to degrade Joe.

It's kinda sad, to waste your life on such a useless crusade. But hey, I can't make people smart just by wishing.

It's funny as well, how the win against Nunn and the fights against McCallum were at middle but you say this means he has a better super middle resume.
