I got stunned once pretty good in sparring. It actually made my head hurt and it was like a camera flashed in my face. I was a little confused for about a minute and I spent the rest of the round tryna get my **** together.

yeah the bodyshots i got hit with weren't particularly hard either, they just come out of nowhere.

Yeah, but Judah was cocky back then. He would have gone full force Gi Joe on Kostyas ass and either get stopped right there or run out of gas later.

Haha. Actually, I haven't been rocked since, but it does put doubt in my head. Like, if I got rocked in the amateurs, imagine what would happen in the pros.

hahaha.....there was a guy I sparred with all the time. Shorter, muscular as hell, that I used to toy with. We would regularly do 3 rounds and he'd hardly ever land. I would do Hamed impressions, go southpaw with my hands down, just clown, and he finally landed a straight right right on the chin, I literally saw stars and went down. I got right back up within a second and finished the round, but that was a damn good shot.

Sorry to hear that bro. Do you remember how you felt or how it happened if you don't mind reliving it?

I dont think talking about it helps much, in fact I think it makes it worse b/c then its in your head. It just happens, no sense worrying about it.

Next round my head was cleared, but I was very hesitant, being that it was my first time getting hurt that bad. Lost he fight. That thought me very much about the mentally of elite fighters. I imagine they all at one point go through similar obstacles, but have extraordinary strength to overcome it.

:good Good point. Especially considereing that they are often in front of a large audience and on national tv when they get hurt. It really makes you respect what they do.

when i changed gyms my new coaches put me in sparring with a lanky, skinny 16 year old kid, i watched him hit the bag and thought what the hell are they serious, he was robotic and looked like he was throwing arm punches with his chin straight up in the air, when we stepped into the ring and he started firing his jabs i was shocked as hell, his jabs felts like right hands and when he landed his first right hand on me i flew back against the ropes, never judge a book by its cover!

I had about 70 amateur fights in our league, lost 6 by KO, I can't remember anything really besides that my legs were made out of plasma for some time.. :rofl:D:patsch:|

Body shots are the **** honestly.

Yeah, I caught a good body shot once from a southpaw right on the lovehandle area and it felt like I had the damn worst cramp in history in that spot. It was like a 100lb brick was stuck in my side.
