So it looks that Haye has o lot of time to fight Wladimir as the mandatory fight woulkd be in the second part of the year. Tbh Haye has never fought a HW in his prime or even near his prime. Even Haye fighting a domestic fighter like Chisora or Fury would be better than fighting these old has-beens.

Haye is a little *****. I would LOVE if Rahman knocked that ****er out. If they do fight though I would be the house on the fight not going the distance. Rahman will most likely get stopped by Haye.

Wait a minute, now all he has to do is to fight his new mandatory Rahman vs. Mormeck, and they are fighting in May. He fights the winner down the road, October. They are not mandating two mandatories in a couple of months. This is the only one. Chagaev's illness issue most likely takes him off the schedule. So, this now frees up time to sign for Klitschko right now or if technically they can say Haye goes against the winner of the Klitshcko vs. Chisora fight. Then

We can all thank the WBA for being a fair and impartial governing body.:rofl

Seriously though, when are they going to come out with a ruling or send Haye/Chag to a purse bid?

On the other hand though, the WBA is basically going along with the heavyweight tide...

Consider the sort of world title eliminators we have had among the heavys...

    Chag-Meehan (WBA, joke fight)
    Peter-Aguilera (IBF, mismatch)
Solis-Austin (WBC, infamously bad fight--Austin hadn't boxed in over a year)

    and now
    Chambers-Rossy (IBF)
    Mormeck-Rahman

Good news! Looks like it will be Haye's one and only fight before that disgraceful dickhead retires. Good bye, Davie, you won't be missed!

my view exactly. pretty much anything else is cowardice/stubborness on haye's part.

my understanding of the whole debacle is as follows: with the WBA sanctioning this bout, haye has no mandatory challenger, ergo no obligation to defend his belt, ergo can wait out for a brother.

unless the WBA still persist he can fight mr hepatitis that is.

but surely, the one we all need hope for is the scenario in my second paragraph. no mandatory until the summer, allowing two unification bouts to be fought.

you know what is horrible though, if haye gets stripped or retires, we will have mormeck or rahman as a heavyweight champion :barf:barf:barf

surely haye can now wait for the brothers to conclude their fights and get a unification going. surely.

infact, is their anything stopping him now signing an adamek style contract with wlad? to prevent him fighting a losing brother.

or would the wba still strip him for that?

either way the july date, at this moment given what we know, seems perfectly reasonable from haye's part. providing wlad doesn't fuk it up.

Is this mandatory eliminator fight is for the replacement for Chagaev, or for another mandatory after chagaev?

If Haye was fighting Chagaev, this eliminator would have been scheduled for the next late autumn or winter. This will be the actual mandatory defense vs yet another oldtimer for Haye and a grand finale of his 'exciting' career.

    its an eliminator

rahman/barret cant get mandatory position when there's 3 fighters ahead of them...

    chagaev
    boystov
    povetkin

chagaev cant get licensed, boystov is injured so its most likely gonna be povetkin who is also promoted by sauerland.

starting to wonder if this fight is really going to happen, no official reports anywhere and boxrec is not showing it as well.
