As is the demand for 50% of the purse, I don't think testing would have come up if they didn't ask for the 10m per pound

Kermit Cintron and Paulie Malignaggi were some of the first to back Mayweather's demand for OSDT......

.....after Pacquiao's refusal, fighters who were beaten by Pacquiao did'nt think so highly of Pacquiao for him refusing Mayweather's demand.

Cotto for example said something to the effect of feeling dissapointed that Pacquiao would refuse such a request.

There have been fighters that have sided with wanting boxing to implement random testing......but where does boxing go after their best fighter is ignored of such request, and the vast media does'nt rally around wanting boxing to implement such testing?:think

In baseball for example, the media in its suspcioun of balls consistently and on the average travelling farther and those balls leaving stadiums in record numbers, put the pressure on baseball by writing of their suspicioun and as a result, finally exposing the steroid era of boxing.

The problem in boxing right now is not the fighters rallying for random testing......(these fighters know the people that control the sport) and if these fighters dont have the clout of Mayweather Jr. it may very well come down to them not getting money fights as a result of them speaking out.

We've already had the best fighter in the business demand of another that full random blood and urine testing be implemented......the only way to put the pressure on for such an idea to be implemented if to like Baseball, have the media climb aboard and back the idea up as being needed in the sport of boxing.

My opinion on the whole issue.....if you dont back random drug testing in a dangerous combat sport like boxing where a life can be at stake, then what would be the reason to have the major sports implementing these drug tests?

Shame on the media for not focusing and putting the pressure on boxing to implement more modernized drug testing, it is the media imo who is at fault for boxing not moving in that direction.

Maybe because cheating is rampant in Boxing and nobody wants more stringent testing. Because even if you aren't doing it, many guys in your stable are?

Because Manny Pacquiao was his possible opponent and he used that trick in the Mosley fight to confirm he's not making the Pac fight.

Yeah. Mayweather knew in advance that Pac was too scared to test and to ignorant to keep a consistent reason why. Mayweather also knew that a devastating earthquake would free up the #1 WW and Mosley would be fine with testing. Mayweather then knew that Pac would lie AGAIN about agreeing to everything then Pac's people would out him as really offereing 7 days. Mayweather knew all of this.

Do you realize how stupid you sound?

Then why did Floyd fight his first 40 fights without once uttering a word about better testing.

    Until....

Who cares? Why did he ever fight outside of Vegas? Why did he fight at lower weight classes? Why did he fight under Arum? Who the hell cares?

Drug testing is a reasonable request that is easily complied with... for a clean fighter. :think

this blood test bull**** is really a cop-out for floyd but you joyboys think it's a a moral highground once floyd requested it. floyd don't care about cleaning up the sports, he just wants this fight not to get made when he they makes accusatiions and at the same time negotiating for a fight. you are not serious in making a fight when you negotiate and at the same time you are accusing. ou are not even serious when you said, there are no negotiations and then went on vacation and say that you are loosing your urge. all points out to floyd not wanting this fight than pac not wanting to go through this floyd BS. floyd has a history of avoiding the toughest fight when it feels like a threat to him back in 2008 in cotto. he is doing it again to pacquiao now.
