im sure that doesnt worry him.had he tested himself overseas sure he may of had respect from posters on a message board but he would of lost, made less money fighting dangerous opponents on cards he doesnt promote himself.the Kessler fight proved he wasnt good enough to cut it with the big boys.
Choc would have a thin skin if it worried him what we post here. ...but it sure as hell gets Ash, Biajoli & occassionally Teke and the limp wristed one, 20a87, upset!
Don't agree mate. He would have returned here with amuch broader respectand still could have blazed the same trail fighting limited capacity opponents making the cash same formla.
True. He'd have given it a serious shot, and continued on with a career at a more suitable level- National Level- as that's all he has been for 4 years. His big mouth, bull**** and promises unfulfilled have made him quite the villain.
He showed against Kessler he was at the level of being competitive internationally. However the path there after showed he lacked the spirit to continue testing himself and most likely improving at the same time. Truly a moment lost in what could have been a highlight laiden career. In hindsight the only person who should feel unforfilled about their sporting achievements is The Pioneer.
What, being competitive internationally?! He didn't get stopped by Kessler, fighting Mundine with out training, carrying a back injury. My mate was in Pattaya to spar Kessler in the lead up to that fight, Kessler didn't show up to the gym once, he showed up to the bar every night though. And that is the highlight of Mundine's career.
being competitive being the main point.sure his victory over Green and Soliman were good and after the manner of which he dispatched the awkward Soliman i thought ''hey he just might live up to his own inflated opinion of himself''but like in league he probably knew within himself that he just was that smidgen below being truly world class.
The names Cotto & Margarito ring any recent bells for you Teke old mate? ....and how did you put it? ....agitated, wasn't it?
Agitated by constantly dropping my name not by what you write about Mundine. Im surprised you havnt said anything about me saying Mundine will whoop Green in the rematch. Green is a much harder challenge than Margarito or Cotto as he would thump 10 shades of **** out of them :deal
Nobody with any smarts sees Mundine beating Green in a rematch, so it's pointless argueing the point with a Mundine nuthugger like yourself Teke.
Hope your mate was paid by way of contract and not rounds!! I didn't see Kessler gas or struggle for fitness in 12 rounds, he looked like he was match fit. You simply can't walk up and fight a 12 round world title fight without training.
yes but he still could have mostly self promoted but also taken some good fights fighting under others overseas. Why didn't he fight under Golden Boy? He just wanted a 50/50 or more but they are not going to do that. They contract him because its their show. If he lost he comes back and builds up again through self promoted fights, then had another crack. All Mundine ever does his pay a guy money to fight him. Its basically show business.
