I thought it was a much closer fight than 2 of the judges saw it.

All 3 judges scored it for Bradley with scores of:

    97-93 (7 rounds to 3)
    96-95 (5-4 with 1 even)
    98-93 (7-2 with 1 even)

The round in which it was stopped (Round 10) was also scored. I think I saw it as an even fight.

The bout wasn't as exciting as i thought it would be. i thought both fighters would throw more punches. bradley did not throw much at all. it looked like it did have the flu leading up to the fight and that affected him. it seemed as though they were giving each other too much respect.

alexander said there is a rematch clause but:

Is there a mandatory rematch clause for either fighter tomorrow?

    Dan Rafael (1:30 PM)

"No, but if HBO wants a rematch it would happen at the network's option. Both fighters have return guarantees on HBO and HBO can insist it be a rematch if it so desires"

I think Alexander wins in a rematch.

I thought the referee was not good. Didn't decisively break up the fighters which led to punching on the breaks. He seemed too laid back. Also, i noticed Bradley hit Alexander low a couple times and devon didn't complain but the referee didn't warn bradley. also, he said that the headbutt that caused the cut was from a punch but it was from a headbutt. He said just before the fight began, "this is for all the marbles." never heard a referee say that.

I thought there were three rounds (2, 6, 8 ) that could have gone either way. If Bradley got all of those, it would have been 97-93, which I think is how some judges and Harold Ledderman called it. Merchant had it 96-94 Bradley. Steward said it could have gone either way.

    Neither guy was impressive.

They both came in with a good game plan.

Bradley: Pressure, cut off the ring, throw fewer shots but make them count. Right hand down the pipe when you can.

Alexander: Stick and move, throw the right hook around the jab, clinch when close to keep from being worked over inside.

Both guys did those things. The thing was, neither of them landed a punch that hurt the other guy.

    It was a **** fight.

This fight sucked. I didn't even watch the post fight interviews because I lost interest.

    96 - 94 for Alexander

Rnd 1: Bradely 10 - Good body work, flurries. Alexander quick hands, couple quick shots.
Rnd 2: Alexander 10 - Was a close round, Alexander eeked it out
Rnd 3: Bradley 10 - Controlled the ring, good power shots.
Rnd 4: Alexander 10 - Controlled the action, better flurries
Rnd 5: Alexander 10 - Clearly out boxed Bradley
Rnd 6: Alexander 10 - Quicker, lands quick shots then moves. Close round.
    Rnd 7: Alexander 10 - Repeat of round 6.
Rnd 8: Alexander 10 - Close round. Alexander landed quick shots, good movement.
Rnd 9: Bradley 10 - Bradley pours on the pressure, lands good punches.
Rnd 10: Bradely 10 - Suck ass round.

I had it 5-4 Alexander, not counting the 10th round.

I gave Alexander rounds 2,4,5,7, and 8. He deserved to lose that fight though, he didn't want to continue.

    Bradley 7-2-1

Many very close rounds, but I see no way someone could score it for Alexander or even have it a draw.

I gave Alexander 4 & 8. Even for 10, though admittedly it is because I wasn't paying attention until the butt.

    You all watched it?

I know that it would be a snoozer and won't even be bothered if someone pays me to watch it.

You're right to make fun of us. I also had the feeling it would be a bad fight, but still I set my alarm clock to watch the fight live early in the morning (in Russia). I wish I had listened to my instinct, like you did. Tim Bradley is a headbutt artist, and there is always the risk of a no-contest.
