Yea Devon quit. He was overreacting to that cut. I'm done with Devon. He has talent but doesn't have the heart atm. Hope he doesn't turn into another Zab.
Devon looked very hurt when the doctor was checking him. But while waiting for the scorecards, he looked very normal again. He is such a very good actor. I hope he can come here in ESB and give us a pointer or two on how to act. Btw, I did not find the fight entertaining. Too much holding for my liking courtesy of Alexander. They don't need a rematch.
Definately quit, and showed worrying tendancies to cry like a ***** anytime anything adverse happened. His lack of heart and balls are not good signs for his future career.
As clear as Dirrell's play acting! Boxing is becoming as bad as football (soccer) for little pussies play acting.
He wanted out clearly. He never took the 5 minutes. He made it quite clear he wanted out. He isn't able to dig deep. He didn't look good against corley, he didn't look good against witter, his huge uppercut masks the fact he didn't look good vs urango, he didn't look good vs kotelnik and he didn't look good vs bradley. His career really looks like smoke and mirrors atm. He got past a couple of shot fighters and since then has only really landed one shot. What makes this worse is that I was one of those who fell for the early hype. I believed he was something special. How foolish I was.
I would say yeah, he quit. The ref would have given him time if he was in that much pain (5 minutes if I'm correct?)...but he was clearly over-acting.
The last headbutt was on his right side, and he was holding his left eye.... :S He clearly bitched out and i have lost all respect for him as a fighter
I wasn't expecting the Super fight it was billed as but I did anticipate a good fight, we got neither. Im no nut hugger but i think Khan destroys the pair of them. If Devon wants a rematch and based on the crowd size last night the function room in my local working men's club would be an ideal venue, they might have to put on a raffle and a game of bingo before the main event though to draw in the "casual" fan
He was getting beaten and saw a way out. He chose to quit so he could say afterwards he didn't get beat. What a way to lose one's undefeated record/ title /unification match. Might be just as bad as Kermit the frog jumping.
