Bradley-Campbell was ruled a No Contest a year after the fight, because of Bradley's reckless headbutting. Seein that Bradley had caused several buts from headbutts, maybe he should be penalized every time. Should this last fight be ruled a NC? Maybe it would make Bradley stop it with the damn headbutts.

You shouldn't even have to ask this question if you anything about boxing the accidental headbutt rule.

The answer is no. They went to the cards after 4 rounds and scored any partial rounds and that is your winner.

Hell no! That'd mean a terrible rematch. Bradley almost won every minute of the fight, only on Alexander's part there was no contest.

Nnooooe! It should if it was stopped within the 4 rounds, but hell I dont want to see Bradley outbox Alexander for 10 rounds again.

You're the one who doesn't know the rules. Any fight can be changed to a NC if they see that the ref missed something that caused a fighter to win undeservedly.

Wrong. Even if the ref messed up the call about the headbutt and called it a punch once you go past 4 rounds headbutt or punch you GO TO THE SCORE CARDS.

I am sorry but those are the rules.

Now if the REF HAD STOPPED THE FIGHT based on the FIGHTER cant continue and ruled a PUNCH but it was a HEADBUTT then YES THEY COULD CHANGE IT.

......but that was not the scenario. I AM A KNOW IT ALL *****......BUT I USUALLY DO KNOW IT ALL!

I agree with your rules inside the ring, but I'm talking about the power of the Commision to change the verdict outside of the ring, long after the fight is over.

But the commission can change any result if they think there was an injustice. That's why so many fighters submit tapes of their fights for consideration after they think they've been robbed by the judges and/or referee.

Any result can be changed with a good reason. Like Pernell Whitaker, who won a fight but then the result was later changed to a NC because Pernell had taken cocaine prior to the fight.

What exactly are you suggesting the referee missed?

He ruled it as a head clash.

Hell no. The headbutt that stopped the fight was caused when Alexander tried to grab Bradley as he was throwing a punch. It was actually more Alexander's fault than Bradley's.

the inital cut was caused by a punch

the clash of heads that ended the fight didn't even open a cut

so shouldn't it have been a tko win for bradley
