Just a quick note which might be of interest. Victor Terrazas who Rendall Munroe beat by KO beat Nehomar Cermeno by Split Decision (might have been a poor decision) last night. Cermeno has two victories over Christian Mijares and a victory over Alejandro Valdez and his two losses were razor thin decision losses to Anselmo Moreno, so he is a legit top 10 Bantamweight. If the decision was legit then that shows how good Terrazas is and how good that performance was from Rendall.
munroe will soon be getting another world title shot imo:yep he is world class and deserves to fight the best in the world:deal

Terrezas was flown over from mexico 1 week before the fight on the week of the ash cloud. had a 60 hour journey or something stupid like that i seem to remember driving up from madrid. in the fight terrezas won the first 4-5 round before slowing down. the problems in the build up could of had a huge part to play. not taking anything away from Munroe as it was a good win. i has cermano no.8 in the world at BW before this.
I think he is world class but I think the fact that he is such a tough customer and doesn't bring too much to the table sadly goes against him and I don't see where he will get another title shot. I hope he is out soon, unless they are close to securing another title shot I really hope that FTM keeps him active and works him towards another mandatory shot, he is still highly ranked by a number of organisations.
That's what I thought going into that fight but it was clear from watching it and reviewing the fight afterwards that the slow start was part of the game plan for Rendall because once Rendall upped the tempo he let all hell loose. Maybe it would have had a different outcome and he would have handled the pace better if he had a better journey but I'm not to sure it would have changed the outcome.
Thats a great win for him, he did look a very good fighter in the first 4 rounds against Munroe. I see it was for a WBA eliminator, if he manages to take care of Lee we could get Munroe-Terrazas II for the title! I'd like to see a rematch as it was a great fight first time around. I'm interested to see what Munroe has got in store for 2011 tbh. Not sure where hes gonna go.
I think he can beat Molitor but that's about it. Vazquez Jr and Poonsawat would both give him fits. I haven't seen enough of Lee to make a prediction.
I found a fight report on the Cermeno Terrazas fight; it sounded like it was very close but with Terrazas landing the more solid shots and maybe being a little more active. This fight lost my bet so I'm pretty gutted. Terrazas must be better than his record suggested. He had only fought one decent opponent before this fight which was Munroe. Hopefully he carries on with the momentum.
