    Seriously I had friends tune in because I expected a good fight with the 2 best of the 140 division. I get treated to a clash of the heads with little action,disappointing atmosphere, 1-2 hug, 1-2 hug, 1-2 hug...




    I have more friends tuning in for the Montiel- Donaire WAR since they are all mostly UFC fans because of constant action, 2 real warriors that will create a Legendary War February 19, none of that hugging it out action as your main goal to disrupt the other fighter.

    This is going to be an exciting fight. I would like to see Montiel win, but I think Donaire's reach might pose a problem.

    its not just donaire's reach thats going to be a problem, its also his sick counter punching ability.

    After watching those fights, and having seen them both in action for the first time, I definitely say Donaire is anything but garbage.

    In honesty, I'm very hyped for this fight after seeing those videos. It may well be Khan/Maidana II with Donaire being Khan with slower hand speed and Montiel being a smarter version of Maidana.

    Both fighters have good chins. And Montiel has the makings of a knockout artist who is smart enough to sit on his punches, which is a deadly combination. That coupled with Donaire's annoying habit of keeping his hands down will be trouble for Donaire.

    One thing, however, that Donaire has is footwork, that Montiel simply does not have. Montiel is no slouch, but he doesn't adjust as fast as Donaire, plus Donaire has the instinctive ability to punch from outside his opponent's punching range, which is part of the reason for his lower accuracy when compared with Montiel.

    This fight could go either way if Donaire manages to avoid Montiel's left up until the late rounds, but if he gets caught early, I don't see Donaire coming back to win it.

    Definitely going to be exciting though !

    Something tells me this isnt gonna be fight of the year but and early KO

    I hate the fight to save boxing crap any way


    this fight will probably end before it gets good

    Donaire has the skills, but I never seen him face advercity. Darchinyan never landed that punch that could change a fight. Donaire had a little trouble with Concepsion pressure. Concepsion was bigger and less drain but montiel hits harder and more accurate. Fight is 50/50. I think Donaire has the speed and reach factor going for him. How well Donaire can take montiel's punches will decide the fight.

    ive rewatched their latest fights to get an idea of how it may go down. i am picking montiel by ko. i think nonito can be hit by overhand rights from the outside and left hooks from the inside if you are fast enough. i have no doubt cuchul is fast enough. every shot he throws is solid and intended to hurt or wear down the defense of his opponent. i think both guys will be able to land some good ones but i believe montiel will cause more damage and result in a 9th rd ko.
