Bradley is a solid, skilled, and determined fighter with above average ring intelligence and stamina. He kind of lost me as afan last night though - those headbutts are about as "unintentional" as the ones we used to see from Holyfield and Hopkins.
I don't know man. Alexander was initiating most of the hugs. Trying to smother Bradley inside when he got in. The whole southpaw/orthodox thing alsways leads to clashes of heads.
Im a Tim Bradley believer but i wasnt over awed last night, he wasnt great but i think thats mainly down to Alexanders gayness. I bet Khan would have been feeling quite confident after seeing the fight and no it wasnt a very good performance but i thought he clearly was winning the fight despite being the shorter man and having shorter reach, he is the better fighter clearly. I saw Bradley land several big right hands flush and unfortunatly his power was exposed as non existant. He is very accurate however far more so than Khan and Bradleys technique is superior aswel. I think Bradley is better than this fight made him look. Everything about the fight was just flat last night...the crowd...the arena...the fight itself. You'l see a better Bradley against Khan. As for Alexander he IS a hypejob and a quitter and hes just lost his 2nd fight in a row.
Agreed, especially the bolded part. Even if he won't make the step up to great, he's not afraid to take the risk to strive for it. I respect that. Especially in today's boxing game where it seems like fewer and fewer guys have the balls to take chances and fight at a level beyond what they're projected to.
i like bradley for his attitude and determination. i dont like the fact that the head butts are a recurring theme in his fights. as far as skills, he falls short of the elite by a fair margin. not a scrub but not special.
This was just so disappointing. The first time two undefeated US Champions have fought together in over 20 years. What did we get? ........ no fans, no action, no atmosphere. Way to go, I tip my hat to the Home Of Boxing. Bradley is the truth alright, the truth that Boxing US needs to rejuvenate itself big-time. Bradley KO-ing Khan and Mayweather beating Pacquiao are necessary to lift US Boxing out of the doldroms ......... whether it happens or not is another question!
He can. With Khan it's a question of age. Khan has very little 'slickness' and just has speed. In 1-2 years time he'll be found wanting as he ages and slows. Even now this would be a 50/50 fight. I will never go against Manny ever again even if he ages but I think Bradley would suprise many many people (and still get hated :S).
