It really depends on what you like. Ezzard wasn't really an "action" fighter once he passed light heavyweight(I hear after the death of his opponent Baroudi but that's another story). He was a technically brilliant fighter and if you're a purist like me you'll love him. I recommend watching his second fight with Walcott and his fight with Satterfield. Ezzard had not only solid fundamentals but good defense and sometimes did the shoulder roll. He's one of my three fav fighters.

Jimmy Bivins IV. There's a six or so minute highlight on Youtube. Enthralling.

Yeah, I'm a purist, not worried about knockouts!

Who are your two other favourites?

Okay, just making sure lol. Hagler and Hopkins. They also picked their shots well and at times just looked perfect in the ring. Some people make Hagler out to be a slugger/swarmer because of the Hagler fight and how he was winging shots against Leonard but he was a surgeon. One of the best finishers of all times with nice combinations. Hopkins knows how to make people look bad and can use his opponent's best tools against them. The guy talks ignorant but he's got arguably the highest Ring IQ of any fighter that still fights. In his prime he busted people up but was still sharp.

Watch his fourth fight with Maxim. He dissected him and Maxim was a smart boxer himself.
