Maidana had absolutely nothing left after the 10th. Even when he rocked Khan he was dead tired.

Khan seriously needs to improve his defense. I understand he was hurt and all, but he was just sitting there covering up (poorly). Try that with the wrong ref and he'll be stopped.

And I'm not sure I'm ready to say Khan has a decent chin. I mean yeah, he took some big shots and didn't go down, but not only was he hurt, he STAYED HURT. For like an entire round. And it's not like JuanMa where he kept taking hard shots...he basically stayed hurt for the whole round by just one punch. (Maidana didn't land much when Khan was running/covering...not sure if it's due to Maidana being exhausted, having poor technique, or a combination of both...) I was SCREAMING at Maidana to hit his body, but he just kept shoving him and trying to punch through the shell...Guy needs to hire me to work his corner obviously lol...

But yeah, Khan wasn't lucky. He put in good work early on (helped immensely by that sexy bodyshot he landed, which had Maidana clearly affected even into the third round. In fact, had Khan not done so much damage early, Maidana may have stopped him later. Khan fought a great fight, but he did show the same old flaws that need work: Footwork, defense, and presence of mind in the ring.

It would be a fair bet to see Khan get KOed in a rematch. He took a lot of big shots towards the end of that fight. Khan will want nothing to do with Maidana and I don't blame him. Great fight regardless

Stayed hurt from that 1 shot? You should get your eyes checked. Let me just refresh your memory:

Maidana lands the huge right hook on the chin that wobbles Khan. Khan starts covering up and Maidana gets him with a left uppercut. Khan holds on to Maidana. Cortez breaks them and Maidana immediately lands another right that sends Khan into the ropes. Maidana chases him around, lands a left jab, a right hook, a left hook, and another right hook! Khan tries to hold on again and Maidana lands another left. Khan backs away in a straight line to the ropes and ducks under a Maidana punch. Maidana lands another right hand bomb. **** I won't even bother going into the rest of it because you should get the point by now.

With 20 seconds to go Khan had his legs back and he was firing back. He seemed to have recovered. But right then he got caught with another right hand bomb (which they show on the replay between rounds. this was probably as bad as the shot that started it all). Bad time to get hit with such a clean right to the chin. That was why his legs once again went and he was sinking at the end of the round.

Maybe I was too drunk dude, but all I remember is Khan covering up and Maidaina weakly pounding his guard. Yeah some punches got through, yeah Khan's head moved, but there was nothing terribly hard landing that I recall. But I shall rewatch that round now, sober.

Okay I stand corrected. I counted 9 good hard clean punches that Maidana landed after the big one. (there were way more that landed, but none of them were really good shots. Nothing Maidana landed even came close to that first punch.

Point remains: Khan was hurt and recovered very poorly. Sure he was getting hit, but so is everyone else who gets hurt.

Also, I need to watch fights sober more often.

main - you're a little touchy arent you mate? you can't expect to put yourself out there on a post and not get someone giving you a burn. but jesus talk about from 0-100 - save something for the later rounds - going straight to the **** sucking and the homo stuff - you'll punch yourself out

i was saying uppercut, uppercut, uppercut as i was reading - so i was then glad you added that in at the end because i couldnt believe how many times he got on the ropes and ate that punch.

as for the overhand - did you watch any of the pad work with roach in prep for that fight? roach did loads of combo's that included him throwing that at khan. loads of 1-2 weave the ohr and come back with a right hand. obviously it didnt stick.
