Hopefully Don Krook Promotions doesn't take this down. I was looking for Camacho/Trinidad a few days ago and it's not up on yt anymore. It seems like the only way to see most of Trinidad's fights is to buy them and I might get them as I love Trinidad. His chin was fine I just think he had bad balance. Usually when he gets dropped he just gets back up Patterson-style. Thanks for the vid I like it.
Awesome...but...has anybody ever actually knocked Campas down? He's one tough mutha..he was just walking into those big shots...what a chin..
Love those hooks thrown by both guys, completely different in style and execution. Campas came into this fight something like 55 and O. He was a scary proposition. But Trinidad was just a cold blooded assassin with beautiful combos and that hook.
After watching this clip I had to dig out some of my tito fights and fire up the VCR (Brutal I really need to tranfer my stuff 2 dvd) I pulled out the fight vs Joppy (maybe my fave he just destroys him!!) and Mayorga.. Long live Tito!!!!
Ramon Campas one tough motherf***er. May have been one more punch away from having Felix in big trouble.
I think so too. Never thought much of him. Tough, tough guy, but I saw him just barely slip by some guy named Roger Turner, who was nothing, and he juuuust did squeak by with a 12-round decision before this fight.
Offensively, Campas was better than good, almost exellent........ ......his downfall was his defense. He could'nt avoid a punch to save his life. He lacked the upperbody and waist movements that all the great inside fighters possesed.
Campas was tough but nothing special. Good straight ahead brawler. Tito probably beat him at his best though.
I disagree, in the Roger Turner fight, he chased a very good fighter all over the ring. Roger Turner was very highly regarded, and at the time was considered one of the Top 5 Welterweights.
