You need to understand Ash, he likes to **** take a lot too, he's a good fella, but not to be taken to seriously.

I don't see him taking Mandy hate personally at all, he just defends him with what he feels is right. Don't forget he's clearly stated when he doesn't agree with what the team has done.
Ash is simply a big Mandy fan.
