Regardless of whether or not the corner made a bad decision (I don't believe they did), a warrior will fight to the ****ing death in that ring.

The answer to this poll HAS to be Cintron. I mean the guy jumped out of the ****ing boxing ring. I've never seen anything like that.

    Cintron didn't quit.
    Dirrell didn't quit.

But anyway, go on disrespecting professional fighters...

I know, and Ortiz is not a warrior. However I don't agree tht in boxing you're either a Quitter or a warrior. Only the few extremes would have carried on fighting after this.

What he did was no worse than Cotto taking a knee in the margo fight, and no one calls cotto a quitter. You just succomb to the pressure.

cotto and ortiz's situations are very very different

cotto fought 10 rounds with a broken nose, broken orbital bone, several cuts until he was beaten into submission and had nothing else to give.

cotto vs torres is more comparable, cotto was being hurt, knocked around the ring, faced adversity for the first time just like ortiz against a hard hitter, BUT he came back and fought his heart out and stopped torres.

Not sure thats all corect. The broken face was all in the last couple of rounds.

Either was watch the clip at around the one minute mark. The punch maidana landed onortiz whilst against the ropes was sickening.

Speaking of Warriors. Maidana and Margarito are the two warriors of the game in my mind. Now those 2 would literaly die in the ring.

nope cotto was spitting huge amounts of blood in the earlier rounds, from around round 4.

watch the 2 videos i posted and see how similar they are but one bit his gumshield down and fought on while the other said he's too young to be hit like that.

I love both of these fights, so entertaining to watch. Cotto vs Torres is probably one of my favourite modern fights.

Does it not annoy you though that Ortiz went toe to toe with Maidana, gave us a definete FOTY candidate, took some monster shots. fractured both sides of his face. And gets called a quitter cos he couldn't continue. Its disgracefull.

Alexander is a differant story he put on a horrendous display this weekend and then did Quit with 3 rounds of the fight to go, ruining what was supposed to be a great war to bring some life back into boxing.

ortiz didn't have any fractures, he had a big swelling

and the way he quit was just disgraceful, he wasn't even losing the fight he just didn't want it anymore

but fair enough he got beat up and couldn't take it

    but then his comments after...

"i'm too young to be hit like that" and "i'm not taking shots like that for nobody" was as disgraceful as it gets.

lol that was a paper cut on alexanders eye, Bradly was the one bleeding from that one.

Cintron did jump out the ring but Alexander is pretty bad. I think Tim Power was hurting him and tim had no respect for devon
