Yeah, but I think it was the body shot that did it for Ortiz. He was getting destroyed to the face at the end of the fourth round and Maidana was pounding away in the fifth, but the body shot is when he looked like quitting.

No Maidana actually once had a look of almost quitting after I believe the 3rd KD.

cintron jumped, i dont know why but he did, he is known for doing things like this, like when he went down in the martinez fight and claimed it was a headbutt.

chef told us he was in a few of cintrons camps and cintron would quit in sparring and/or quit training all together and go off, cintrons ex coach who posted on here said the same, that suddenly in the middle of training he would say thats it i gotta go.

Fair enough. Guess that's the point, he didn't have the heart to fight until he couldn't anymore and decided to end it before it got to that point.

At least he quit knowing Maidana would get the well deserved victory and didn't try to fake an injury to give himself a chance to win on points. That seems more honorable to me than what CIntron and Dirrell allegedly did.

That's twice that people disagree with you, and all you have to come back with is "Kermit dove, it's a fact!" That's worse than saying "Manny Pacquiao is on steroids, it's a fact!" How do you know? Can you read his mind? You can speculate and have your opinion, but without proof it's not a fact. (sorry to bring up this issue in an unrelated thread)

Come up with something to support your idea and I'll humor your opinion.

You see him push off with his standing foot , no dive my dick !

Dirells was fake too , you dont get delayed knockouts like that

Ortiz was taking a kicking no doubt if he cant go , he cant go on but his post fight comments were bad

Devon know he was losing couldnt figure Bradley out and thought **** it , Im cut if the ref shows me the door , I'm going through it !

All quit in different ways , but all quit.

Cotto quit agianst margo too , he was taking a beating and quiting was probably the safe thing to do , but he still QUIT !

Finally somebody actually has something to support why he dove. That still doesn't make me 100% sure he dove, but it convinces me a little bit. I'll say I'm on the fence with this one. Still, dive or no dive, I think they should have a rematch in somewhere other than Cali.

NOTHING beats the interview that Ortiz had after the fight. That was insane how easy he could speak those words and feel no remorse about it.

Then 2nd comes the ***** of a fighter Cintron.

    Everything else comes after.

To be fair - and I'm in no way condoning disgracefully jumping out of the boxing ring, hilarious as it may have been - Kermit was clearly winning that fight. I was shocked but relieved by the decision. Realistically that was Cintron's best and possibly only chance to win, and he took it.

look at the Margo fights too ( especially the first ).

Cintron was getting built up as this killer puncher , no mother****er can live with his power ! etc.

margo does just that and lo and behold Cintron crumbles !

so you think he got hit flush in the face and suddenly thought (in a split second) "If i dive out the ring now and fake an injury i may win on points.....Juuuuuuuump"

It's all on instinct - and if that is the case that would be mental.

I'll admit its possible, but if I had to bet,I'd go for momentum carried him out the ring. (and maybe then he decided he didn't want to continue) But I doubt he planned the dive.

i hate how overrated/underrated margo is on these forums

the haters think he is a d level fighter and the huggers think the complete opposite

margo would be in a fight with ANYONE from 147-154, you cannot beat him by running, *******s might call me out on this but whatever... pacquiao had trouble with margo, yes he beat margo up but margo managed to scare him quiet a few times.

Agreed - I loved how against Mosley - He was getting his ass whipped, his corner said the were gonna stop it. Margo said no I'm going out for the 9th.

He went out and got absolutely destroyed in the 9th.

Now on that night, Margo wasn't quitting, he went out on his shield. Same against Manny, despite the beatings he took, that guy would not stop coming forward.

    Margo Vs Floyd next. :bbb:bbb
