Do boxers deserve to get payed as much as they get now?

not the boxers fault that ufc fighters are stupid....

that, and most of the mma guys grew up in nice backrounds...most boxers been fighting since kids, while mma guys have been fighting late in life....to most of them it's just a 2nd source of income cause most of them have careers or full time jobs.....

 

Boxers get paid what the public are willing to pay them so in effect yes they do.

UFC fighters get paid whatever Dana White decides.

 

at the hbo/belt level? HELL NO. most of them are taking soft touches there, thats why few of these dudes are hungry and take risks.... and even if they do some of them fold and give up because they know they have options, contracts, and rematch clauses...
tough times breed better fighters.

Not only that, but anyone in any combat sport dserves that money. This ain't no pillow fight.

 

If footballers,golfers and racing drivers etc etc. Get paid astronomical amounts for they trades. Then a man willing to put his health and life at risk whether in the ring or octagon, deserves to be paid every penny.
Infact it's your lower level boxers and journeyman, who deserve to be paid more and have some form of retirement fund.

Espcially Golfers. Fat people swinging clubs around all day riding around in a golf car on a beauitful sunny day. Drinking gatorade. Must be heaven compared to what fighters go through.

Tiger Woods plays with a bad ankle and gets called "brave". Fighters get cut all the time and its just a regualr day at the office.

I saw the almighty, unbeatable, overhyped, super-intimidating champion Brock react more than afraid to get hit in his last fight... most amateur boxers respond better to get hit.



Rant over..... I agree though, MMA fighters make way too little, just don't tell them Dana White is robbing them blindly.

 

Your reasoning is stupid, you see a lot more action and blood in the UFC but that doesnt make it a professional fight. The top guys in UFC get paid really well just like in boxing. But a lot of the UFC is more like street kids fighting in the ground and hugging eachother. I saw a lot of action in my high school and those guys could fight. Does that means they need to get paid too.

Golf is probably the absolute hardest sport you can play. You would realize that if you actually ever hit up a golf course. no, it dont take much from you in terms of physical conditioning, or anything regarding that aspect. . . but unless you play it, you can not even remotely understand how hard it is to even break par across a 18 hole golf course. If anyone wants to ***** about entertainers and how much they get paid. . complain about Wrestling and Reality TV Shows. Those are the underserving class of the entertaining world that get paid and treated as royalty.

 

lol. I live in Augusta, GA..home of the Masters. I stay about 2 streets away from the National. I hate Golf.
